easy, u gotta love those leads! love synths and i love when they scream! composition is fukin spot on man, the tune blends seamlessly, the sound choice is good, the synth eq sounds no problemo buuut, u need to change those drums! the congos at the start sound good - maybe could do with being more upfront tho (could stick a delay unit on it to make em faster). but yeh the drums lack punch. layer the main hits up more and then stick a fiddled about amen or some kind of loop over the top. if u wanna do pendulumesque stuff you gotta have big main hits that are well equed. anyways - u only 13? damn - u gotta lot of time to smash the competition.
o yeh, speed it up!

Oh yes! This is the shit!
If I could dance I'd deffo be shakin to this bad boy. Those high pitched leads make it sound very Pendulum-like, which for me is no bad thing. I can deffo see this tune having a wide appeal, it's the sort of commerical dnb that non-dnb heads would be into. No doubt you'll get comments saying it's a bit cheesy, but I love it. If you wanted to go a bit further with this, I'd deffo think about giving the snare a bigger sound - something similar to what Pendu do.
This is very well EQed. There's a decent amount of bass there, the lead is crisp, the structure is fresh, the melodies are excellent... it's all there mate. Like the Shinster said, the whole thing blends very nicely but the beats are the weak point of this tune. Both the kick and snare are lacking beef, they're sounding a bit vegetarian at the mo if you know what I mean (I'm not dissing veggies here, I'm a veggie myself).
Other than that, I'm deffo feelin this. Very much looking forward to seeing how this one develops.

Shin- The kick near the beginning disappeared during the rendering process, I have no idea where it went. I'll work on that. I turn 14 in 11 days, so I'm not exactly 13!
Tomos- Wow, thanks for responding to my thread! Big props man, you got all my respect, your tunes are spot-on! The snare is a bit weak imo, but after the breakdown, I think it gets stronger. The beats are always the weak part of my tunes, because i tend to use single hits as opposed to loops that are copped up. (Weird, because I'm a drummer of almost 5 years!
) Oh and I'm a veggie too! (veggie dnb-heads are the best).
Scaranja- Thanks! the synth is my first synth I made in sytrus, I called it "friendly synth". I'm like "what the fuck is 'friendly synth'?" so I clicked it, heard it, then Im like "PENDULUM DNB GO!" That pitch bend is the portamento, I placed a longer note, then i placed tiny 32nd notes above it to pitch bend. A remix sounds great, but I'm not done, so it would have to go down after I finish.
Really dig the intro. has a very smooth vibe. i would work that whole intro in to a song itself. had a nice liquid flow to it. That drum fill before the drop is very sweet as well.
Drums sound like fruity loops. Defintly needs more drive in the drop. kick is not very distinct and snare sounds too digital. I would recommend layering up the kicks and adding a natural snare to ur mix. more layers in the drums. rim shots. maybe a amen break loop.
Your lead synth could be way fatter. maybe try boosting the bass freq. or layers another saw behind it. has a very 80s sound to it
fruity loops? thats what this track has me thinking.
while i am writing this review the song keeps playing and i really dig the intro. prally my favourite part of this song. where the drop comes in i think you should loop the intro again add maybe a building synth riff in there to get us excited.
