This is a bit embarassing, i'm trying to upload my first tune and i'm a bit stuck. I'm using cubase sx 2 and reason and exported the audio mixdown in mp3 format at 96kbps 24 khz as this was the highest i could export and when i went to upload i noticed it had to be 128kbps and 44khz stereo to get on the site. I checked out 'lame' but was not sure what i needed to download and i'm also not sure what do if i get the right mp3 encoder, can anyone give me a hand, i know i sound like a jerk, sorry bout that but i've never uploaded stuff to anywhere! Cheers, Luke.

If you want to use LAME it's best to get a front end for it such as RazorLame too to avoid having to type in things in a DOS window

Lol.Each to their own mate, if a tracks good, it's good whether it's on the darkside or the funkier rough side. I'm into Perez, Hospital, Calibre, Ram Records, that sort of thing, but like some darker stuff too, if it's down my street, like to hear heavy guitar based tunes too if done in a bouncy style if you know what i mean? Back to uploading, i've converted my wav to mp3 and gone to upload on the producers page, do i just fill in relevant info and just press send or do i need to have an upload program running or something, it doesn't seem to be working?

I'd say go for a newer version of Cubase if it is that bad when it comes to mp3...

course, thats why I put the j/k meaning joking

not sure if you have to log in again at the producers page. but that could be only me since I exited the producers group by accident

just install lame, then razorlame. under options somewhere in razorlame you have to point to the lame installation. check the path where it puts mp3's too so you dont go looking for the files later

then just drag and drop wavs to it and click encode
