Hey guys, just purchased the Reason 4 upgrade on the weekend. Registered my original Reason 2 with Propellerheads.se and got my security number okay...

Now system requirements for Reason 4 includes Windows XP (which is what I have). When I tried to open the Reason 4 dvd I get an error message saying:

"This program requires Windows NT version 5.01 Service Pack 2 or later"

So I checked my PC, it is Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 1

Do you reckon I need to now upgrade my Windows? As it says nothing on Reason about having a particular version of XP? Or could it be possibly the fact that my DVD player (which I recently installed) isn't playing dvds as I require a dvd decoder to be installed..??

ANY help on this matter would be appreciated guys, really want to start using the new reason!

Yeah you need to update windows to service pack 2.
I had this problem with a mates laptop and when i updated it worked.

If you got a genuine copy of windows you should have no problems updating.

just go into control panel and you'll find the update jobby in there i think

cheers matey, only snag is I dont have an internet connection at home - may have to get my hands on a CD with the updater on it, my XP is original so thats not a prob
