oooohhhhhhh , i like this , but needs some sub bass , i think if you got the sub on it , it will give it more presence !!!!! very techno like , reminds me of the good old techno days , with that sample , ha ha , not really into techno now but this takes me back , get some sub on it , i think it would benefit from it , nice !!!!!!!!!
yeah needs some sub but then it needs to be done by someone else cause im working with shitty material atm

I'll was thinking to save that last bit from 6:40 for a VIP version (whole darkstep track) , this one is intented to be chill , but i might change things , it doesnt stand out enough
when i started this track it was something whole different (crap)
, then i experimented again , hmmz try this & that ,
till came on that slow-step rhythem , and i wanted to make a track out of that rhythm ,
but then i felt that couldnt be a whole track of slow-step

and then i made a 2 step part right after 1min of slowstep ,
and made the 2nd drop 2step too...
then again i felt that this wasnt convincing enough and added that last part...
the point is , i never knew IF people like a whole track of the same style (slow/2step/darkstep) ...
cause when i check tracks of other producers (eg: limewax , current value , donny , infact all dnb producers ) they have 1 theme :
1st drop = 2nd drop (with some little other edits)
i kind of missed the boat on this one , so should i do this too , make the 2 drops the same style ? or make it different ? i feel like just copy pasting my 1st drop to the second sometimes and do minor changes too , but then i think they might say, pff not good enough...
Id take the after 6 min part, export the loop andseparate into 3, kicks snare and hats, then compress it some more. then Id do a similar thing that noisia did with subdue, a heavy beat and lots of bass sidechained to the kick, also the snare since its heavy as fuck, which is why you had em separated in the first place. + a few fx here n there
noithing wrong with tempo switching but leave that for a second version since this got mad potential imo
if you feel like it, just gimme the last few drum loops and I'll try some shit with it to show you waht I mean, I find it easier than to sit here and try and write

about the sub , i didnt realy put in a sub :s , i started with my kicks and snare and eq'em till the low frequencies were filled , but i understand i do need a sub cause that will fill all my low frequcny gaps

the bell is pitched too high, doesn't sound menancing enough, pitching it down would add a much more evil feel.
whispering voices sound lush, real dark and moody, apart from bell intro is pretty phat in general, love the dark feel.
not too keen on the metalic sounding snare but i guess thats a master of taste, it sounds nice and clear tho. kick is also clear and pumpin. i'd make the hats a litle brighter, sound kinda dull, sound pitched up a little too high aswell.
drum drop at 2:44 is nice, not my style but defo adds a new dimension to the track.
mix overall is pretty clear, maybe some deep sub bass would warm things up a little tho.

nice title, it works well with the sample. the part after the never deep enough sample doesn't seem to have enough evilness to it as the part before did, you needed a hit here, like a crash or a screma or whatever, it just start, there was no annoucnment. you NEED a hit there. you can use it after the few pauses too. it just lacks the energy there. and it was building, nigh, brooding up to that point so well.
now the 2:25 time you do have a sound at the start fo the bar that is a good hit. but it doens't ahve to be that hit. it's a pretty important part consdiering it's the start of the song.
the track continues on nicly, i always thought the darkstep was layers on layers, this is very minimal. there's nothing else going on other then a bass that's in time with the kcika dna snare, and a short stab int eh altter part of the song. you need to add some stuf fon during that, throw in in layer over layer to help build, if not it's just the same level over the whole track,
then 3:57 the background ambinece just stops. dead, not fades, just cuts, very crude and poor

all you need is like 1 pad synth. or sometihng ot help thicken the drops. and the few fixes i mentioned, that are just rudamentry. this is all beside the point that the kick sounds like a tom drum, and stuff, it works for the tune, the retro sound works for darker, industrial like stuff. at what the fuck is 6:50 it's the fucking drop? is that the first drop?!?!?!?!

and that's a quite ubrupt end to the track. that's poor too. wow. what a fucked up song, and not in a good way. i'd say listen to the song there was some obvious mistakes. but thena gain who's got 7 minutes to listne to a repative track.

This is not my style but I can see others who are into this style liking this. However, imo, this is one of those tunes that has too much compression going on. Everything is sounding squashed and maxed-out. It's probably the style you're going for, but for me, it hurts to listen to this at loud volume. The vocal sample is as loud as the drop, which makes the drop seem weaker and the vocal too overpowering. I'd always prefer to let the drops have the most impact to make them stand out - kinda like how Nirvana might make a DNB tune (
