Please check out my new track 'At the Lake' and post your comments here!!!

Started on this today. Got some positive feedback from the folks I've sent it to. Haven't posted anything here in ages, so I figured I'd stop by and say hello with some new tuneage. Thoughts welcome, as always.

Very American Beauty-style intro, sounds somewhat like intro music for a movie. Love the vibe!
Kick is a bit too boomy for my taste.
Very detailed composition, you took care of everything. The ghosthits sound a bit harsh/muffled to me.

Neat production, drums sound tight, though the whole tune is a bit too happy for my taste.

LOL, the stuff at 1:06- 1:49 could be in a jungle jump and run adventure game. Fits 100% and sounds like pro game music.

Although this is not really my coup of tea, I like it overall. Just the snare in the main parts of the tune could use some beefing up.

Cheers!

I like this sort of dnb and i like this one too.The intro and the drop are cool. I think the kick has too much low-end and the snare is could be louder but the track sound fine.

Excellent. I love that jazzy-electro-funky vibe you've gone for. The production is crisp and clear the whole way through. The levels are spot-on, the bass is there, the highs are there - it really sounds great. The only thing I wasn't wild about was the snare and the kick. I reckon the snare sounds overly-layered. Imo, it should be cleaner and harder. Same with the kick. But I'm nit picking. This is one super tune. Big Grin

the vibe u created is definately fit for the title - i think i got a nokia ring tone that sounds pretty similar! (and thats not ment to be an insult, i really like the melody!) nice percussion around 1:20

synths / bass on the drop all fit well together

good tune, refreshing ideas, nice work

arrangement and structure are spot on, some good work gone into that.
kick is nice and big, pumps out of mix well.
nice sounds in build up, sounds like something from a film, gives the track identity, like it.
reece and kick build up is nice to the drop.
good drop, drums sound a little muffled behind the reece bass, could do with some boosting or maybe some parallel compression to excite them a bit. snare seems to get a little bit lost but its not a major issue, maybe jus tweaking levels. could jus be to do with the bass sound.
production overall is clear and defined, bass is nice and warm and track has a defined vibe all the way through, nice work indeed!!

like the beats.
kick and snare could use a another layer each
but they sound pretty good.
not really my cuppa tea this style but its ok.

needs a bit more to catch attention i think.

big upz

Jakata-style future-funk drum and bass with everything i like in a tune. Really interesting build-ups, loads of eastern ethnic type instruments make this one a bit different from your run of the mill DnB. Really liked the break down at 1.00,very quirky, very clever. As there is only half of the tune i can't give an accurate review, but what there is sounds like a great DnB roller and wouldn't be surprised if someone wanted to sign it up. I am looking forward to hearing this one finished as i reckon this will be a belter. Keep up the good work and a few more in this style would be nice.
