Good chordworks, good melodies. A bit too layed back for my taste though, even when the hars bass drops in, it still sounds very open and rather slow.
Everything fits, quite entertaining. Could do with some bass stabs, fx stabs, vocals, pads ...
Keep it comming.

Battledrone, Thanks. I had actually taken some pads and fx out for this bounce because it started to sound a bit cluttered. I'll work them back in, and I agree there's plenty of work to be done on the bassline - some stabs, variation etc. I've only spent 3 days on it so far - Kinda challenged myself to get something down in a couple days.

Clark fader, I don't know what you're listening to it on, but thanks for the feedback. I'll test it on some more references to find why you can't hear or feel the kick. I assume that you meant the kick has too much high end, because high frequencies won't mask the kick. It would be too much low-mid masking the kick. There's 38Hz sub on the kick for about 35ms and -3dB... It's pretty fat in the sub, perhaps missing some low-mid punch?

Same here unfortunately mate, that kick sounds very flat. It just doesn't have the oophm and depth needed to carry the beats. The snare sounds quite thin too. The melodies are very good, I enjoyed them throughout the track. And even tho that saw bass sounds a little out of place, it still sounds good to me. It's got an almost Prodigy-like feel, quite punky. It's maybe a tad loud compared to everything else. It dominates the beats when it comes in. But yeah, nice tune, I enjoyed it.

You were right.. I tried it on another ref. I've beefed the kick up by opening the gate on it a little, because the original kick was quite fat...

Cheers.

The saw bass (and its accompanying sine sub) ducks under the kick to make it all sound bigger. I don't think there's any problem with it dominating the beats now that the kick is fixed... It doesn't mask anyway.

nice melodies on the intro, good music Smile i see what ur doin with the drums rollin away, cool bass. good use of sounds, lacks a bit of energy - u could go either way with this one, focus on the bass more and make it a bit darker, or take the bass out reqork the tune around those sweet melodies for a mor chil out vide Wink

good tune

loving those melodies and pads in intro, sweet as.
kick seems a little weak tbh, got a lot of low-end punch but lacks in punch ar around 100hz i reckon, this might help it pump through the mix a bit better.
bass is a bit too over-powering on the drop, masks the drums a bit too much, could use some eq work to carve out some holes in the frequency range for drums to come through on.
snare could do with more layering, got some nice snap to it but i think another layer of a more high-end snare would add to it.
arrangment could be made a bit more interesting too, track just seems to jump from drop to pads and back to drop, no fx or drums builds to make different sections flow together,
not a bad track overall tho.
