Please check out my new track 'Barricade' and post your comments here!!!

EZ Peeps

Have hit a major creative block with this tune!

Pretty happy with what I got down so far but fucked if I know where to go from here.

Up for passing it on for a collaboration if anyone interested

Any feedback or ideas for improvement appreciated

Great atmospherics in the intro, the suspense is haunting!

I think the reverse cymbal right before the main beat comes in is a bit abruptly and breaks the vibe a bit.

Love the reversed break at 2:22.

I really like the soft melodic backing at 2:34.

If this were my track, I would add on a drop where you have the nice melody playing in the background, mixed with some of the intro effects and growling pieces of the reese, as you did in the beginning of Ritual. Then lay down an even fatter reese!

I think the biggest problem with the track is just that there's no real bass hook, although everything else is there.

Good luck with the rest!

I got a few ideas for this! as others mentioned, needs more bass(es). it can go each way and thats why Id do it. what software did you do it in?

great break, Id redo the drop to include more synths. make it memorable etc.

EZ Cynik

Done in Reason 4 and nuendo 3

Arrangement totally in nuendo though, hardly anything in reason so I don't think you'd get much out of the reason file

I can put a sample pack together for ya if ya want?

Drop me a pm n let me know or get me on aim BinaryDnb

Really love the drums, clear, punchy and powerful. The reversing at 2:22 is wicked, inspires me to include something like that in one of my next project.

Out of interest, is that Nuendo thingy that good so it’s worth nearly 2000 bucks?

Sounds like an open invitation to anyone wanting to add another drop to this. It still lacks Identity in my opinion, needs a clear hook, a lead melody or some bass element that makes it unique, recognizable, ...
Maybe you could mention DAW (and plugins) used to get people to collab on this one.

Reeeally enjoyed that. Those heavy melodic vibes are absolutely super. The beats are rolling too. Very dance-worthy. Yeah, the whole thing needs a fat bass in there. I don't think it'd be that difficult either because the melody is already there. I'm really feeling the vibes from 2.35 onwards. Fuck, I wish this was done on FL cos I'd be snapping your arm off to collab on it.

In terms of improvements, I reckon the snare needs to be a little fatter with more low frequencies. Same with the kick too actually - needs more thud. The ghosts and hi hats are excellent tho. Sounds like a layered break with a bit of hi pass?

Every tune of yours seems to get better mate. This is your best yet I reckon. Big ups! Big Grin Bigup

Drums are on point but seem a tad loud in the mix. There so much cool stuff going on below them, I'd like to hear that more prevalent. Good stuff mate.

One nasty intro Smile

Nice drums. I reckon drop the pitch on the snare every now and then. Just to mash them up a touch.
May be drop the pitch over all.

Oh... it finished.

Nice anyway. Maybe add a nice dirty sub base stab.

cool Smile

I think this track needs only more bass. The drums are sounds very clear. I like the intro it makes a very interesting atmosphere.
_Very good work, keep it up, you have to finish it.

hello BH hows it goin! like the intro, dark atmospheric madness slowly creepin up on ya very nicely built up!

sick drop razor sharp beats cuttin things up man Big Grin nice work very crisp. I see what you mean about not knowing where to go with this tune, i think those twisted bass sounds need to be more dominant and probably faster in the mix for more energy.
i wouldn't mind having a go at remixing this, only prob is im probably not ready technically to do this one justice lol

eazy geez

I like the way you've processed the beats and swept the filter. Although I'd say the tune is a little slow, it does have a lot of motion, which is good. The general sound of the track is dark, I like all things dark and twisted. Everybody complains about my long intros, a good tune needs a good build up I say. The initial drop could do with something to speed it up, or maybe adding some notes to synth line. The beats are well dealt with apart from they overpower the rest of the tune a tad. These might be ways of improving it, but it is what is. I don't know if the ending is finished, if so start something new... This one's cool as it is.

This track takes too long to progress... The intro also needs to be turned up, it's painfully soft. I like the progression towards the end, but everything else just gets repetitive. The drums are great, but the changups seemed kind of lazy imo. I think the bass needs to be louder, and there needs to be more dynamic to the song in general.

But it was pretty good, just needs a little work.

Good job!

intro atmospherics are nice, really dark and moody, build the tension well, deep sub basses help it to build to, takes a long time to build,
rev cymbal at around 1:28 is nice, sudden break in tune and that leading into drop works well.
kick and snare sound nice and clear, beats are solid, nice and frantic.
tune just lacks a bassline, sub bass is nice and warm, jus no real mid-range, bass sweeps etc in background, why not experiment with them, different variations etc and boost the levels?
sweet intro overall, heavy beats and defo got some real potential to be a dark roller, very nice work !! would love to try and add to this tune,
