Please check out my new track 'Martian Icecap' and post your comments here!!!
My 2nd real DnB track, kind of a chill, mellow, ice/space themed track, as opposed to my other darker tracks.
Hope you like it, and please review/comment!
You seem to have a compressor on the master which squeezes the whole thing like hell. Don't do it, it ruins the track.
Like the style, feel of the track. Good choice of instruments/drums. Great melodies.

Firstly, welcome aboard the .be cruise ship. This is your captain speaking...
Yeah, not bad mate. The general vibe is pretty nice, you've got the basic elements to the melody down well - the sub, lead sounds, pads. The beats could definitely be more crisp tho and more upfront. They sound pretty thin. But your biggest concern should be the over-use of compression. It really does ruin the sound quality of your tune man. The reality is, you probably don't need much compression. A tune like this, imo, needs to sound natural and dynamic. Do you listen to LTJ Bukem? If not, get yourself on YouTube and check out his tunes, they're superb (most of them anyway
). It sounds to me like you're on the same vibe as him, so you could definitely learn some useful tips.

not a bad intro... the beats need especially the snare need some weight tho, as the last track i listend to hear i would say the bass is to loud compare to the rest of the sounds.
good use of synths and nice little roller overall.
thanks.

- he tricked people into sending him high quality versions of their tracks, under the false pretense of releasing a drumnbass.be-endorsed compilation album
- he makes threats and insults to members and moderators in personal messages and forum posts
- he uploaded a track to this site which violated the copyright of DJ Zinc
- he created multiple identities on this site with which he used to manipulate his ratings by voting on his own tracks, back up his own posts, and insult members and moderators
- despite being warned about his behaviour and ultimately being banned from this site he continues to create new aliases to threat and insult our members and moderators
I advise anyone to avoid doing any business with this individual, or his "labels" mp3styleproductions.info, drumandbase.info, reverbnation.com/freestylednb, musicv2.com/artist/nebula, soundcloud.com/freestylednb as he is not to be trusted and will probably try to steal your work.

hello mate, listening to this and quite liking the melodies. Beat as per comments above - too much compression, but all the synths are ok for me.
stick some FX samples in there, get more atmosphere - I think they would compliment all the other elemnts in the track quite nicely (like some swish type sounds if u know what i mean).
track overall sound too compressed, volume of different elements keeps jumping up and down, not consistent at all...try bouncing the master down first then loading it a new project and compressing the mixdown as a whole rather than sticking a comrpessor on the master channel.
beats seem a little bare, more percussion and some ghost hits would beefen them up a bit.
not a bad track overall, got a nice chilled out vibe to it, jus doesn't really seem to progress too much and the over-compression completely destroys the mixdown.
