The only program I can think of that might work for you is Har-Bal

Which is capable of completing a detailed spectral analysis of an audio file but runs standalone without the need for a vst host.

I dont think you can route audio straight into it on the fly so again you would need to export your audio out of reason first, then analyse it. Is that any easier than having rewiring into a separate daw running a vst plug in analyser? Fuck Knows Teeth

While I was lookin for an answer to this, I came across this which turns your PDA into a handheld spectrum analyser that I thought might interest some of ya

Aye well it depends on whether you have another DAW does it not now !?
HeHe ...
I have Reason 4.0
FL8
& Ableton lite m-audio edition that came free with my midi.

I haven't tried ableton live so I don't know how different the lite edition is from that.
Is it worth getting Ableton live cause all being done and said I'm not much of a fan of Fruity.

And errr I hear there is an update for Reason 4 ...
Is there anything in it that would make me want to bother updating ?

And extracting audio just to test it does seem like a long ass way to go about analyzing your music.

What when you could as you say use ReWire and use voxengo plugin or whatever.
Or use something like Spectrum analyzer pro live which is a stand alone program which does work off your internal audio signal in real time. + It does bar graph analysis too ! Bigup Easier on me eyes than those wavy fuckin' lines.

Or the best alternative is to buy a real spectrum analyzer !
TheChronic gave me a link to one the other day.
Only €5,000 + odd bling bling !!! HeHe ...

Fuck That ... !
