dunno how much of a difference it can make in fl or whether theres any way to find out but is there anything that can be done to combat this, anyone heard of a vst maybe? i know theres the option to bounce out the effected track/s and shift them to compensate for it but is there a way in fl to find out how much latency plug-ins cause?

It's possible, but not auto.

In the mixer there's a 3band EQ on the right with a curve display just left of it. Underneath the curve display is the stuff you are looking for.
You can do some pre or post delay on the stuff that is passing through the channel and you can set a time to delay it. Requires experimenting.

Try to use it only on 1 channel (make the slow shit play earlier) rather than delaying all others because if you change anything to the slow channel later on you'll need to adjust all channels that have delay compensation on them.

There is a slight possibility (haven't figured it out yet) to make this automatically. In the dropdown menu where you can set the delay value in ms you can also choose "set from" which should sync with the selected channel.

Does this make sense? Frown

doesn't seem to be on fl studio 5 (need to upgrade Mad ) but i see what your saying.

nice one battledrone, i mean i haven't come across it as a noticeable audible effect yet, but i just found myself thinking all these waves plug-ins must start causing noticable latency at some point.....
