it sounds like a single sample of a minor chord with a chorus on it giving it some detune, and then it's played like a monophonic synth bending the sample to each note.
the progression of the pads seems to be the first note, then one semi-tone up (or one note) then up 2 semi-tones from that, then back down 2 semi-tones or if you have the sample on the C key of the keyboard, it would be C,C#,Eb, C#
which is the start of both the phygian and locrian scales. the bass sounds like it goes down, but not the to the part that would define the phygian or locrian scale which is the g or F# it should goto,
both are commonly used in dnb tunes because it sounds so dark! then i'll give some shout out that most dnb heads give like massive, or boh, or EZ. and then make a smilie face.

Cheers Half price. That was going technica!!! Havn't heard those scale names in a long time. Wish I had my guitars again!!!
Really want to know how to create the sound in Reason. Used to be quite a common pad sound in the hardcore /jungle scene. Probably another virus soundl

a couple of triangle waves detuned, with the top end filtered out, using a low-pass, and then pitch bend with monophonic, or 1 note playing. us MAelstrom or something.
