Hey all, here's an Indian DnB tune I completed a few weeks back. Took me a while to gather all the various samples, have used sitar, indian flute, shehani (a sort of indian trumpet), some tabla to support the beat. I wouldn't call this a conventional DnB track, so not one for the purists - tried to combine emotional / atmposheric sounds with the darkness. Once again all comments welcome!

Instant goose bumps in the intro... really building tension there matey! Intro goes on for too long, it can hardly keep up the tension you built so well. The drop is a bit too soft, I was expecting a sick whammer there. More dominant bassline action needed.

I like the intro but the guys above me maybe in right, its too long. The beats need more power, the kick is virtually silent. I dont like the bassline it doesnt fit with the track well.
This tune could be a great one, but it needs more work on the structure and the sounding.
you can never have to long of an intro, i listend to this track for a long while, quit loved it and was just snoozing to it, was a good track, always love the tabla in dnb, it's intreresting how well it fits in there, the bass the speed and rhythem fit very well. and that tabla playrs usually d the same rhythem over and voer it's not unnatural to loop it.
the heavy synths are good, and the choice of breaks were good and natural sounding to the track it all mixed together nicly. but maybe try listneing to some bolly style of music adn you'll find they hav eSO MANY QUIRKY shit you coulda added, most bolly music sounds like tihs but you went traditional, you could doe stuff that would sound like DDr and it woulda been more like contemperary bolly music. and by bolly i mean indian.
i enjoy bolly dance msuic, it's so fucking pimp and crazy.

hi , nice but , takes far too long to get into , cause it starts to sound like just a tv score , the first drop is too weak , i think you should swap the second drop 4 the first , so its more powerfull , not to sure about the off beat beats !!!!!!!!!

hey mate - thanks for the comments nice to hear ur into ur indian music (as i am). I hear what ur sayin about bolly, thing is with this tune i actually started it off thinkin about makin a more intelligent DnB tune (and therefore collected classical indian samples as opposed to nu skool ones) and it turned out heavier than i initially planned it to!

you should try to make it mroe about precussion and rhythem with minimalistic notes in it then, just a nice pad int eh background, and a few pips would do well, and that high pitch girl singing!
fuck i am gunna try some of that shit now.

yeah man, nitin sawnhey, talvin singh, asian dub foundation have all mixed classical indian and dnb. may be worth me doing a darker mix of this tune like u said, keep the melodies simple and ration my use of the samples as theres so many to choose from! all the best with ur tune if u decide to make it - lemme know when its done!
