EZ peeps
So I'm havin the hardest fuckin time gettin gthis tune together. Reasonably happy with the arrangement except for a bit o tweakin, happy with the idea, but totally struggling to get some warmth in the mid range generally. Wanting feedback on the idea of the tune really, is it strong enough to persevere with??????
All feeds always welcome. I'll get my shit together with some reviews in the next few days
lovely mate , but i think the snare needs to be a bit louder , a bit more tange to it , ha ha , nice track thou , sound very V RECORDINGS , good like it !!!!!!!!
I really like the nice liquid vibe with the guitar and vocal sample. Very smooth.
Beats are nice but the snare could be a bit more up front.
The main problem for me is that the reese and the other softer melody don't seem to mix too well. The reese comes in rather suddenly, and leaves rather suddenly. If you could find a way to carry elements of both parts over to ease the transition, I think it would help alot with the flow of the piece, and might fill the tune out a bit more.
Hey man. Nice sounds, im feelin the guitar samples. Not much for me to complain on this track. If you're looking to get the warmth I suggest you experiment with a few pad sounds (if that not too obvious?! lol!)
Wow, this is easily the most chilled tune I've heard you do. I love that guitar riff. Is that a sample? Wasn't overally impressed with the beats. The pattern is good enough but they sound pretty muffled and muddy to me. Did you compress them? I reckon the kick and snare deffo need to be bigger.
The dark change-up sounds great. Cool melodies with your style all over them. Nice, fat bassline. Again tho, it could do with some extra beefage, maybe an extra layer to really fill the sound out.
Nice stuff, enjoyed.

the mids sound ncie and i am only just starting. gernally this track wants a cool feel, not a warm feel? generally this track is good, i would be proud of it. you got soem good vocal hits int ehre, and nice guitar afor a lead, a smooth pad keeping the feel int he background. and a drum that fits in there subtly, and fits the mood. jus that second of distorted reece before the 1:50 was nice. reversing it to help add sme nice change up which is pro. then comes that distorted reece lead again, it could be a LOT louder and fuller, that would be more how it should sound it's distorted it's suppose to be iny uor face, and if it sounds jarring that's ok, it is jarring int his mix, but you would want that to progress, it's a good bridge track in a mix from chill to hard. i love the concept and love that song if the distorted lead was more fuller, and i like how you brought it out a bit earlier on, maybe if that was louder too it would be a bit more intentioinal sounding. also during the first time it peaks in if you filter out the bass you can have it there for a seconed longer wiotuht it being the full taste yet, just a sample. you do use it and introduce it nicly, just the volume isn't there.
if you want i can master the track for you if you give me a message and link tot eh track it's a worthy track.

yeah the difficulty i've had with this tune I think comes from the fact that (as Tomos pointed out) this is a pretty chilled out tune for me in parts and I think I've struggled to get the more dynamically variable parts, the guitar / piano etc to sit with the elements that I'm more used to dealing with (The beats / reese / sub etc) and in particular the "balance" between these 2 sections. Hence the track title
Halph, thanks for the comments, some good ideas in there man. More than happy for you to have a bash at mastering it. I'll PM you a link to an unlimited wav a bit later today man. Be glad to hear someone else's take on the mix.
nice keys man, nice stero delay, me like
think that vocal could be more upfront in the mix.
that drop is sweet mate.
vibes all over this.
but the melody is getting over used and is getting a bit repetitive.
oh that dark bit came out of nowhere. naughty
not too sure if it fits imo.
I know some tunes do the start soft ---> go hard well, but the soft part is normally quite moody or sad on those type tunes whereas this is pretty happy at the start.
hmm i'll have another listen
stll not sure it works for me. the fatc is that thebeat stay the same during both parts.
the beat needs to get more intense during the hard part for it to work better.
i'd just go with the nice liquid track.
did you do this in reason?
Would you mind if i had a go at a lil remix when you've done with it?
delay and panning on intro keys/ synth is nice, like that vocal sample too, loving the drums, sound real clean, kick pumps through mix lush and fit with the sub bass a treat, snare is nice and clear too maybe mix it a little louder.mid-range on drums is nice too, gives em a lush rolling feel.
melody is a little over-used imo but nice none-the-less, lush vibe with this track.
ooooh, dark section, liking a lot, that bass is dirt, seems a little out of place after the chilled section but loving it newayz, bass is sweet.
good arrangement throughout, mix is nice + clear, overall a decent tune, like it!
