when i try using my midi controller in cubase there is a massive delay. it used to work fine before. ive looked at tutorials , setups etc but im having no luck its about a 1 second delay and is really getting on my tits. please help!! Mad

You need to lower the latency of your ASIO Driver

Go to devices, device set up, select your audio driver (just above vst inputs) open the control panel and lower the latency

For playing a midi controller I normally find somewhere in the region of 8ms is fine

The drawback from this is that you may get some glitches in the playback of audio

You can always push the latency back up after you've recorded the parts you want with your controller though
