oh u hate it
oh well. nah obviously its pretty different. i was just quite on the piano and trumpets at the time. so ur advice, is what? shall i just forget about it and move on, or do u reckon some of it might be salvageable and ready to be reconstructed into a gleaming master piece?

Ha ha, that brought a smile to my face. Reminds me of icecream at the seaside when ya a kid.
Where's the donkey rides. Wanna get out of here!
Give my tune a listen now and vote.

Doesn't sound very DnB to me dude... DnB has dominant drums and evil growling basses and some other stuff. You concentrated on the other stuff mainly. All your instruments seem to be presets more or less, try to make your own sounds. If you really want to make DnB I'd advice you t throw this away and start all over.

I actually like the melody, and it has good basic layout for dnb. You really have to find some more aggressive drums and put them forward, and this tune will shine!
I really like your cheerful approach and the melodic harmony you keep.

yeah yeah ok cheers, well im gunna keep going as like a little side project, yeah the drums are from another song i made, but i want my drums to sound a bit like the brazillian shit, ill try and find some samples. also does anyone know how to make the piano sound really old school (as in from like the 40's or war or whatever, you know the kind of crackly sound older recordings, plus the general different feel of the instrument).
again any help would be safe.

1.. turn the piano volume down... A LOT!
2.. boost the level of those drums.. A LOT.... A HELL OF A LOT!!!
3.. SUPER MARIO FTW BABY! (reminds me of that)
i actually think the melodie is very good. a bit hard to take seriously but its catchy.
the melodie layering is also quite nice.
BUT... us guys on this site are purists, so we need to hear far more
drums and basses dude.
keep on it

on a second listen....
scrap the speedy gonzalez sample and go for a whole new feel.
try a brazilian female vocal used minimalistically
minimize the piano usage to just a few notes here and there, and put lots of delay and the final 1 or 2 notes...
do the same with the trumpet too.
find a really punchy kick and snare combo and make the track much more liquidy in the vibe.
(remember.. each sound needs to have a roughly equal volume so dont let your beats die in the background)
find a breakbeat that will slot in nicely and layer around that.
boost that bass too, so it warms the deepest pit of your stomach.
its the chord switches that grab me as potentially very useful
