I thought this might be a one off but in more and more of my sounds im getting the same thing:
Say i record a melody and it playing back in midi. For the sake of explaining say the melody is very simple, just one note on every beat. On some NI presets that i have made this simple note keeps changing sound slightly. When it first plays it will sound normal, then when it plays again it will sound slightly different, usually more bassy. These two "sounds" alternate as the bassline is playing - one note sounds normal, the next one slightly different, and so on.
Does anyone have the same problem? I think it might have something to do with LFOs. I think this only happens on my wobbles.

yeh its prob the lfo, never used massive myself but it should sound like that shouldn't it, try checkin the effects section or something to see how the sound is altering, why is it a bad thing anyway? its giving the sound movement, would be boring if it sounded the same everytime.

I had the same exact problem, and it seems to come and go.... the only solution I had was to turn all but one of the oscillators off and the problem seems to go... I think that It is an effect of the oscillators working together, phasing with eachother to alter to sound. If you turn them all exept one off, it seems to go away so this is my conclusion. But let me know what happens with you, Im still interested in it....
and no I didnt have ANY LFO's running when I had the problem..

So you can only have 1 oscilator running to fix the problem? Surely there is another way around this, i like the phatness of 2+ Osc especially when you need a bit of sub bass to add to the sounds.
To Sephiroth: Its not giving the sound movement, it just sounds inconsistent. The differences between the two variations on my bass sound are very noticable and dont sound very good. the LFO gives it movement but there seems to be two phases of the sound. Ill mix down an example and upload it somewhere.
Does anyone know a website where i can do this?
Thanks..

No. Of course the three oscillators are there for a reason. Im just saying that turning two of em off seemed to fix the problem, and that leads me to believe that it is phasing due to to different phase positions of the different sound waves... see if turning two of em off solves it, and if it does, then start afresh and hope it dont happen again...
I just bought massive and I know how frustrating it is when these things happen, Im a mac user and thought it may be some sort of bug, which was really pissing me off... but I ditched the setting that was giving me this prob, and hasnt really happend again, apart from synths always seem to have some sort of LFO in them, even when I havnt assigned any.
But if its happening to you also its just the way massive works and you just need to get used to it
