Please check out my new track 'in coming' and post your comments here!!!

This track came about when I got bored messing with my last one, Dubs. Pretty much the same samples/effect ect, but a different style. Needs more work, but I'm going down the pub soon...

Made with Reason.

If you vote, please leave comments aswell.

Enjoy, Ihope Smile

The percussion lead is good, but I think there are more vivid version of this sound to be made/found. This version lacks presence. I like the tune a lot, really minimal, has big potential, it has a certain coldness which makes it sound very pro. Go on, make a full track out of it. I guess this is your best creation I heard up to now.

Thanks battledrone, really appreciate the comments.

Must admit, this tune does feel like a progression compared to my others. Very simple, but it doesn't sound and feel a great deal different to what I used to buy and listen to on the London pirates. I would actually probably of brought this around 1999...

Strange thing about this tune, is I can actually here what is missing. I just need to create the right sounds. Hopefully that will come along pretty easily and I wont get bored and dismiss it like my other tracks... Devil

When are you going to put a new tune up Battledrone? You've reviewed a few of mine recently, only fair I return the favour Big Grin

Another little question. What does minimal really mean??? I have heard this quite often about my tracks on various sites. Does it mean it is just a simple easy track, or not very good???

Very old skool sounding, especially with that piano melody. Pretty good, maybe a tad too heavy on the old reverb. I like the general dubby feel of this but like BD said, it's kinda lacking presence. It's missing a few elements somehow - but you said that already! Big Grin Overall, I think it needs a bit more depth during the middle section. Some good production techniques used here.

I think the minimal term means not having alot going on in the track, not to mean its not good mind you, but really simple and to the point instead of throwing like hundreds of samples into it... I think, dont qoute, anyways to the track
The beats dont really hit the spot for me imo I could have done without the female vocal sample as well
I pretty much agree with the peeps above me, and I think when this thing has a lil more substance it'll be bangin

peace

i quite like the bass, innit, but i dunno about the drums that much, the 2nd snare kind of annoys me a little bit, but yeh its got quite a cool like sound scape thing going on. i reckon turn the bass up/banging down in the break down. it doesnt relaly sound like the drums fit with the rest, i think they need to be integrated a bit more.

but what do i no.

safe good luck
