Please check out my new track 'Sonic barrier (demo)' and post your comments here!!!
I'm proud of it.
it's one of the first time my oneshotbreakbeat actually sounded good from the first time.
Did most synthesising with WHasp
drums come from die bassdrums & die snares, hihats come from everywhere.

Drums sound nice indeed. Using a different VST could have made this bass more alive, I like the melodies you play with it, but that bass sound is so rigid and it could use more low end I guess.

The beats start off really well but during the main section when the bass is playing they lose some of the punch and fatness. Bassline is good, very much head-bobbin stuff. Deffo got mine going here.
(Btw BattleDrone - we need a head-bobbin smiley somewhere!). Very good tune overall with a good vibe.

btw, what VSTi do you recommend? Because i've been making my own presets lately, i never find the right bass for my tunes unless i make it myself...

Nice drums... but little less reverb on kick drum coz it sound too 'boxy'. it will be better if you make more punch on snare. maybe some parallel compression?
you should work more on mixdown becuse kick & snare loose power when play with bass. Bass- hmm... this really needs more processing. I think, you wanted to make heavy analog bass but this isn't good. Bass should be lively and moving.
I usually split my bassline in 4 channels:
first is my sub(lowpass around 150hz,
2nd & 3rd are my mid bass (2nd - modulated low pass filter, fx chorus, little flanger, distortion etc.
3rd - modulated bandpass filter with flanger , phaser, overdrive... etc.)
4th hipass around 3,5 hz with lots of reverb, chorus and flanger.
Resampling is the key. I always repeat this process for many times.
You needn't ULTRA MEGA VSTi with lots of oscillators and so on. To make single reece i use 3xosc from FLstudio. it's quite cool for bassline.
would be nice if this help you
cheers
