Thanks for listening Clarkfader
It is a slightly differernt track for me, but it is a style I really like. Wish I was back in 92 again
I don't really know anything about dubstep, but it isn't running at 138. About 164 actually
Last time someone told me I had done a dubstep track, I put it on Dubstep Forum and everyone complained about it not being Dubstep!!!!
I know what you mean about the bass. They are actually samples from Reasons Sound Bank. I will be changing it
Thanks again Clarkfader
For the others that have voted:
Please leave comments if you are going to vote. What is the point in voting when there is still no way in seeing what area have been voted on (ie sound quality, origination)???
Voting and not leaving a comment is not constructive critsm now is it... Also, I don't know who to keep an eye out for when I'm going to review some tracks. I don't have time unfortunately to vote and 'REVIEW' them all now

yeah , its like the reverbed drums n shit , givin it the old dubstep feel , plus the piano as well , if you hear dustep , its sometimes very random , and if you hear some djs , they play alot faster stuff as well , even jungle , so thats why i said that it soundz dubstepy , but dub step is more the heavy wobble slow drum and bass style !!!!! this definatly oldskoold style , i wish i was back there toooo
long time ago man , cant beat those times some of the best music ever !!!!!!!!!

Those chords sound really warm, but the bass sound is not really supporting it, it lacks energy. Track sounds too repetitive. Rather slow track BTW. Drums could get more dynamic if you would add some ghost elements.

Cheers bro, appreciated. That earns you a few brownie points for sure.
OK, your tune, overall I like it. I love the dubby vibe. I'm always a sucker for dub. I love those big reverberated snares too - definite dub sound that.
I agree with Clarky that this sounds more like a dubstep tune, rather than a dnb tune. All the melodies and SFX elements point towards dubstep - apart from the bpm, which is too fast for dubstep. Not complaining tho, I love dubstep.
This tune could deffo do with some stronger, lower basses. That would really dub the tune up. Sounds like you've got a live bass in there? Is that you?
Beats are a bit thin, the snare and kick could do with beefing up, maybe an extra layer or two.
Overall, a good tune. Enjoyed.
Btw, I voted for this yesterday.

Cheers Tomos. Thanks for the comments.
The bass is actually stock sounds from Reasons sound banks. I made the B line myself, not thats its fantasic (I still find it hard using keyboards in a jamming sence, on my Axiom 25). What I did with the results was quantize one copy of the notes and asign them too a clean bass and left the other set of notes to a dirty distorted bass, then played with the attack rate on both bass sounds.
I did used to play guitar and a bit of bass. But I stopped when I started traveling about 6 years ago. I mainly used to play Punk and a bit of extreme metal. Also the odd bit of ska and used to enjoy jamming to my Jungle records!!!! How I wish I had my guitars again....
I have done a mix with some subbase under the bass, but the sounds are drowning each other out a bit, so I need to work on it a bit.
On the dubstep side debate on this track. I tried slowing it down, but it doesnt work well, also if you speed it up, its to muddled. Sound fine around the 160 mark like older Jungle. I might call it "BruStep!" Dont forget, you heard BruStep here first
The track is about 3.39 long, can you get away with that length???

Personally, I don't see a problem with that at all.

hey , it might be soundin muddled if u r using samples , as they still stay the same speed and pitch on reason , witch is a flaw , witch tends to get on my nerves alot , but if u wanted to , try rendering them , and then changing the speed with acid or soundforge to the desired speed , or put them in recycle , it should help with the track and stop it from sounding wrong , only a sugestion !!!!! peace !!!!!!!!

I seriously love dubs fusions in drum n bass. This is a great tune with great ambient. I'm particularly inclined towards the silence interludes in the song. Very mood packed and great production. The sound quality is impressive. I would like to know what software you used to create the synths if possible. Please get back to me if you can. I think it's got great buildup and structure. Great stuff man, please keep them coming

Thanks for listening everyone.
The tune was done with Reason 3, havn't got enough cash for the upgrade really!
If you were wondering about the Guitar/piano sound. It is actually a wav sample of a guitar I found. Google 'dub sample' and you will find it pretty fast. It was actually one strum from a 10 second sample. Its sounds a lot different to the original wav, because it has a short but very fast delay and reverb on it.

The mood of the tune is pretty sick. It sounds really radio friendly as well. The production sounds all in place to me and I'm definitely digging the atmospheric effects. What did you use for these by the way, or are they samples? The beats are flowing nicely IMO but it'd be cool to hear what else you have in mind. I love the live analog sound of the bass. I guess I'm inclined into dub styles in general so this really hit a soft spot hehe.
Great job dude, keep it up

Defin dig this, but i have to agree with whoever said the bass lacks energy. I would say slap a 3x osc onnit and get some wobble going on. But that would take away from the oldskool sound u have going. The beat work is pretty smooth at 2:22ish but I would advice taking out the reverbed sticks or whatever that is u having going on, and then bringing it back in when it picks up again. Maybe get some reversed ghost snares fit in there in place of it or something like that. This tune has promise so keep at it. Cant really comment on sound quality cause im on headphones, but it sounds pretty good on the hphones
RespeKt!
