just wondering if anyone could help me out, im looking for some sample packs of whooshes, swishes, bleeps, lazers etc and those kind of sounds to help fill out my tunes, can anybody help me out, i have found a few on free sound, but could really do with some more. cheers

best thing about swooshes bleeps etc. is to make em yourself.

if you use already existant samples youre confined in using the same key as theyre in which is very limiting imo, you can pitch them but very slightly as you loose quality. resampling is a way... but a bit too much hassle imo

making swooshes isnt hard at all, get a synth that generates noise (colors) and play any key you want, then use filters to fit it, make it "swoosh"

bleeps are easy, its a synthethised sound and the key is palying with the adsr envelope.

cheers mate, i have made a few myself and i have resampled the ones that i go have, changing the pitch, sometimes adding delay, reverb, flanger etc but to be honest i am a bit lazy with making them, prefering to get packs and just edit the patches

try gettin a few back issues of computer music magazine, a nice trance/ house/ drum n bass issue will have a sample cd with it full of swoosh's etc, i jus collect them from the sample dvd's supplied and piss about with the sample to make it fit with the track.
