could i just ask how people make their synths cos i've been trying for a long time but i can't seem to get anything really good... i would like to know what people start off with when making them and what they make them in on reason... its quite an open question...

Subtractor and Maelstrom.... What I do recomend doing though, which is just what I have started doing is going through the Factory Sound Bank combinator refills, look at how those synths are made and recreate/adjust them into something you like.

Reason is just about experimenting.

I had been trying to make a hoover synth to no avail. I had a look in the Factory Sound Bank, and there is an amazing one already, not from sample using NN-XT, but the actual synths!!!!

thanks a lot. i understand what your saying and i guess thats the simplest way to make synths.
