started this today thinking jump up but couldnt get a vibe after i made the intro so i striped the beats and stuff and subtled down my wobs n stuff n this is what i got so far. could do with a few ideas cos even tho im liking the sound i know im gonna be getting " more variation and more samples needed " not just off the .be crew but everyoe else, you guys seem the bet place to be asking questions as you ALL have a lot to say ha ha. big ups the .be fam as always. made this as always on fruity 7. the samples are from some i picked up off of the david carbone series. ( very very good ) peace and feed back taken as per.

I don't think it works to start the drums like that and then stop 'm right after --> Confusing. Better us highpassed drums for the intro and put some delay on them so it's clear that they are not to serious.
Intro sounds rich and full. actuall track is too empty in comparison. Intro sounds liquid, mian part sounds jump up. The 2 should meet somewhere.
Snare needs punch, drumline is a bit empty, reminds me of DJ Krust's track Warhead somewhat.
The horns in the intro make it sooo liquid that it is almost impossible to get it to glue with that square bass, I'd leave the horns out and replace them by something less liquid. Not sure if an icecold square bass is the right choice for this track.
The bass seems to distort sometimes, cut back on the mids, lowpass.

I'd love to get my hands on this one Wink

I defo recognise some of the samples in this! Big Grin

Not too keen on the snare tbh. It needs more ring in it to sound more natural I reckon. Nice kick tho.

Very cool wobble basslines. I would actually like to hear more of the bass and less of some of the samples in this track.

Beats are pretty good. Maybe a tad.... dare I say it.... standard. Big Grin

Some more dominant melodies would be good. Sometimes this track goes a little flat, like from 2.09 to 2.31. The jazzy pads are cool and I like it when it starts sounding old skool, like from 3.14 to 3.57.

If this was my track, I'd start incorporating some old skool junglist vibes in this - melodic subs, warm jazzy pads, layer an amen on the beats, keep the vocal sample, a few hooks... that sort of thing.

A good start, it just lacks a bit of depth at the mo.

big fan of that firestorm sample at the beginning of the track, use it alot in my tunes. loving the stabs. drops into a very minimal wobbly bass. got a good vibe to it, not too jump up though. very simple melody. it is quite hard to think of ideas to add to the track, once you go down the minimal road if you start adding things they can generally seem out of place. bass sounds, drums and melody variations are what you need but i am sure you already know that. good little beat though
