yeh, what is with all the drum only options?

My other suggestion for a comp are to make a tune of a certain flavour.

i.e a jazzy Brazilian track, or a track with some ethnic vibes. like sitars etc.

i say make anything but it gota be a set tempo, set drops breakdowns etc, i dunno just a idea

This poll is great but I think there's two problems with it at the mo...

Firstly, the drum-only options should really be complied into one vote. If you count up all the votes on the drum-only options you get 10 votes (as of 17:20, 29 Jan). Yes, some have voted for the 2 min option, some for the 3 min option and others for the no-amen option - but the idea is pretty much the same for each option. This splits the votes into three and puts the drum-only idea at a disadvantage. Like I said, I reckon you should put them all into one and then decide on the details later, such as time length or whether you're gonna allow amens, etc.

The other problem is that the voting system is open to cheating because you can't see where people's votes have gone and who has voted for what. The easy way around that is to simply get people to state which option they want to vote for by replying to the thread. Then we can see where the votes are coming from.

Btw, I voted for the drum-only options but I'm perfectly happy to give any of the other options a bash. Big Grin

Democracy tends to be slow yes... the alternative would be to kill the people with other ideas. But I'd rather kill the accounts, to much hassle Teeth

The thing is, those options (2 and 3 minutes etc.) all got some votes when I revisited the poll, and I can't delete them and transfer their votes to one option (we have to remember them or write them down somewhere). We'll count them as one entity - if they get most votes together, than that option will be.

On the cheating, I think I don't agree with your conclusion. Maybe we don't see who voted for what, but that's not even a tiny problem - it's actually an advantage, letting us see the real interest about the options without fear of being accused about changing mind etc. And also, we have 3 votes each, so we don't get stuck on only 1 option, but all the options get disperse votes - which really gives clues what people want Wink

But then, I see the flaw in my thinking... gonna fix it as much as I can. Drums only (tramen excluded) is ripped off.
Those that voted for it should be able to reuse their votes for something else. If not, write them down here.
