Please check out my new track 'Downward Spiral' and post your comments here!!!

Here's a new track I made in FL7.

I got a small microphone and recorded the vocal sample on a plane flight.

Any feedback is appreciated, thanks for listening!

hahaha I love the flight of the bumblebees homage. The captain announcement intro is pretty cool too, but seems a little "thrown in". I think the horns have a very nice sound, and seem to bring a type of noise you dont hear in this genre enough. I like them a lot. I also enjoy the drum tones a lot, although the beats are a little low on variety. Those trumpets are fucking killer though, and pretty much make up for any lack of ridiculous drum patterns. Effects are nicely done, subtle, and not overpowering. The bass also slides into the mix very well, without sounding obnoxious or (even worse) absent. I like the varying chord progressions used in the breaks/bridges; i definitely feel that this is one of your strengths and should be capitalized upon more often. The song seems to stick within a fairly cramped progression for the majority of the duration, and it really feels nice when the chords open up and the tempo changes. Turn up the BPMs and throw some random shit in there, and this would be a completely killer track!!

Pretty interesting track. The bee-like noise got really irratating tho, you should definitely turn it off after a while. Good overall sound and nice production techniques being used. The strings are a nice touch and some of melodies are really nice, especially the breakdown from 1.25 to 1.36. Not much else I can say really.

on headphones Crying

the bee melody should deffinitely develop into something more if its gonna go through the whole track

the sounds need rehauling, fxing, compression esp. on the drums

otherwise the ideas are nice, keep at it

sounds like a playfull track... at 44 sec... i dont really like this chord stab.. sounds so prominant in the mix and distant from the rest of the production... at 1.30 you got a slow calm switch but i dont think it adds a climax or anything into the track... after a while likes been said the bee sound does get irritating.. i feel like your track does not progress very much either, i mean you got some differences going with the chords but i still feel that its very empty and your letting your track get supported by this sound that i personally dont like.. ive never been too much into the brass sounds... i would make it more subtle and add a more moving sound to layer with it because it makes your track sound slower and slower... also i would mix in the drums a bit better.. they can be a quite bit more in your face dude... seriously.. overall i think it needs a lot of work.. its strange sound and idea sets itself apart from other drum and bass and i like that.. i mean its creative but every creativity needs a bit of working out so i suggest follow the line be innovative and work a bit more on it. peace

Your orchestral samples were...lacking, to say the least. The 'Flight of the Bumblebees'-esque line really needs a different sound. If you change up the voicing choices, I think this song could be pretty decent.
