I searched and didn't find any matching topics so I thought I might start one.

I came across these videos some minutes ago, called "dnb dance", with faggots (imo) well, I can't really explain it, you'll have to watch :p

I've never seen anybody dance to this to drum n bass in belgium. So I was wondering, where the fuck are people dancing to drum n bass like this (some villages next to the chernobyl nuclear facilities??), and more important: WHY?!! xD

This all in my opinion of course, but I don't think there should be a defined style to dance to it, it's all about personal vibes to me.

The beats get you in some kind of jump-up of course, like all music does, but dnb shouldnt have tutorials on how to dance to it for crying out loud. :p

What's going on lately that people need to call everyone and everything gay.

You don't see anyone dancing like that because most flemish heads are just a bunch of farmers. You can't dance like that when wearing muddy rubber boots Lol

My experience with Flemish people is that they are very constrained when on the dancefloor; do like everyone else or don't do anything. Bunch of grey mice, anything outside of the grey mass has to be bashed as being gay. The French speaking part of Belgium is SO different.

It's just that I see all kinds of genres with 1 style, with a whole set of moves you can pull off and you have to train in the mirror, and what I'm seeing with this is quite the same. It's not that I call everything gay, quite the contrary, but it's just my personal tought that you should dance like you feel. :p

Battledrone, I didn't say the Flemish are masters of dnb dancing, indeed mostly you see people in the back nodding, people in the front raving and people next to the speakers tripping on acid making love to the speakers.
And that's a bad thing? Every dnb party I went to I experienced the same all-loving, all-trancing vibe. I think you don't go out as much as you should do, if you think they're dancing like farmers these days? :p

but yeah, okay, tastes differ. :p I thought this was some kind of hype going on among teenagers as most of those vids are teens, but apparently its worldwide Big Grin

Also, it's as if they focus on the feet, the rest just hangs along? Imo you should rave every bit you got. IMO.
it's too calm, it's kinda a style that I would associate with dubstep Big Grin

I can accept everyone loving it, aight. But I'm still curious: where did this see the light? Where is it done? Is it the old skool way? (I wasn't around in the old skool days)

@battle... dont be so sensitive ol pal. have you seen south park? they call everything gay without it been a full on attack on anything in particular
also that guy dancing that you posted is not really dancing to dnb...
dnb has been doctored over the real TECHNO soundtrack.
i have seen the clip a few years ago with the original music from the rave playing.

@bugwise... the dnb nights i go to are usually full of people of two types....
students.... and hoods. that first clip looked like the way a lot of the studunts are dancing to dnb nowadays.
big upz to em... they dont care what people think of their dancing and thats a good thing imo. diversifying the scene innit!

the "hood" style of dancing (in the UK anyway), is usualy more "cool" and "gangster" orientated.
like two finger pointing and some heavy shoulder movements. (you should see me and culture skank out) Gangsta

its entirely upto the individual. BUT... we have a "COOL" scene, so if you
are busting out silly and weird moves, be prepared to be laughed at.
