EZ Phil
I like the elements here but don't know if they gelling together right atm.
Think you right to comment about the eq, beats are a bit muddy at the mo and it sounds though the kick might be distorting a little. Beat itself is solid though.
Think that the drop could come a bit sooner and much preferred the tune after the drop where the techy bass takes over.
A good start with loads of potential but not up to your normal very high standards for me atm.
Serves you right for knockin out high quality tunes all the time innit

EZ now big man, haven't heard from ya in a while.
My immediate thought was that kick sounds distorted. And it gets worst after the drop at around 1.32. The same thing is happening to the snare. But I know you ain't EQed it yet.
Cool bassline. Definitely got big groove potential. A little quiet at the mo.
Nice little fills and edits with the beats and bass.
Synth melody - yeah, pretty good. Needs some extra tho to take it from bring ok to great.
Agree with BH - not your best, but good to see another tune from ya.

The track starts with some FX mixed in which make it sound distorted (as you don't know the regular feel of the track yet). Drums sound really "on the edge" when it comes to compression, I would lower it just a tad, especially the kick has to much high end because of the compression.
Intro is a bit long for my taste. You create a nice vibe in the intro, but that vibe doesn't seem to last throughout the mainpart.
The bass could do with more sub action (I'm on dirt cheap headphones here, so could be missing the point).

hi philster!!the sub is a bit to strong.look at the final wave file and if the track looks really choppy its because the subs are just a touch to dominating.dude the lil break filltro/intro to the main bar is sick!!! i like where your headed bro it sounds great just a bit to much sub bass.maybe cut out the drums instead of letting the one drum beat play at the beginning.other than that sounding good mang.

I'm not quite sure how far into a crit I should get seeing as you're still working on it. I, also, am not sure about your EQ on that. The major distortion drum had it's charm right up until the bass came in and had what seems like the same distortion. Is it a master dist?
The bass sounds like it would be top notch stuff minus the distortion. I dunno.
Throw in all kinds of high end background noise n stuff. Cymbals, high hats, screaming ambient dissonance. stuff like that. you've definitely got the spectrum space based on what you've got here. all low end and mid range
tho, playing it on most club systems would yield mostly bass and mid range so, maybe you're just thinking ahead ;]
I dig the concept.
