A mainstay of the DrumnBass scene, DJ Sweed is notorious for his illicit turntable
styles. If there has been a critical drumnbass soirée, Sweed has been there spinning
the crowd into a frenzy with his mix of naughty grooves and exclusive funky ruffneck
dubplates.
Sweed has proven his worth as a DJ who satisfies the eclectic mass in Paris and
Europe large, mixing alongside the movement’s most famous: DJ Marky+XRS,
Pendulum, Dj Friction , UK Apache, Dara, Drumsound, Miss Ficel and DJ Science
among so many more. Sweed also held residency with his partner in crime (Carlito) at
Paris’ most respected DrumnBass party ‘ILOVEJUNGLE’.
Away from the decks, Sweed is a reckoning force, continuing to release
dubplates through Bingo (Kashmere, Breakable, Poetry In motion, Night Is Over..),
Haze (Crashin), M-Atome (Break It Down), B :Cuts (Drop Zone) and other well-known
labels. His projects have included collaborations with French veteran MC Youthman
and funky fresh Redeyes and this year looks set to explode with new sounds from this
cheeky pleasure-seeker.

After promoting raves in the south of France since 1997 SKS DJ starts mixing drum n bass in 2001 in Toulouse. He was noticed for his eclectic selections and finest choice of promos and dubplates.
He took part in many residencies and gigs in the "pink city" and played at the side of Asian Dub Fondation, Amon Tobin, Freestylers, Dj Netik, Dj Zinc, Moving Fusion, Keaton, C4C, Ruffstuff, Grooverider, Aphrodite, Krust, Syncopix, Skitty... in many club as Red@Pagoa (Itzela-spain), Reload@Fundbureau (Hamburg-germany), Pluralform@Yasta (Madrid-spain), Twist@okama (Madrid-spain), Mogambo club (Valence-spain), 4sans (Bordeaux-france), Festival decibel (Toulouse-france),Crossover (le Mans)... He promote drum n bass parties in Toulouse where many dj 's have played as Dillinja, Drumsound, Therapy sessions in toulouse feat Loxy and Robyn chaos, W10 party feat Danny Wheeler and Mixologists, Naked beatz feat SLB...
In 2003 SKS DJ learn productions tips with his closer friends Brooxs (Audio unit) and Redeyes (Bingo) His tracks get a regular support on bbc one extra radioshow such as Bailey's "Intabeats", Crissy criss "M1X show" and Fabio and grooverider radio 1. His release are forthcoming on Bingo beats ,Solé recordings and his own Vandal records... Since 2004 he run his label VANDAL Records wich regroup artists like Skitty, Redeyes, Peyo, Audio unit and SKS DJ... You can listen to his mixes on his radio show : "Stay tuned" with dj Redeyes one wednesday out of two of 18 to 20h on www.ombilikal.org.

...It all started for me in the beginning of this millenium. Studying in Leuven got me in touch Spastik, one of the leading figures behind radio scorpio, Belgiums only alternative radio station. He showed me many different new styles of music and encouraged me to go out and search for the music that is my own, and to do something more with it; That music was and still is the jungle sound!!
Winter came, and along with it an old manually controlled technics, one Gemini 500 and a 4th hand mixer. Shangri , Imvamex & myself locked ourselves in with a stack of records and founded OFF!CE. For months and months we pretty much spent all our time either buying, playing or listening to dnb and jungle and when spring came OFF!CE went public with the first party: you're a freak
Months and years went by, playing on and organising numerous events across the country, trying to define the style that is OFF!CE. 04 /05 is when shit really kicked off. Not only as promoters, throwing parties every 3 months, but also as a dj collective. Like that off!ce got invited to play at a Badmood.net party in Lisbon,Portugal, I played at one of the REACTIV events in Amsterdam as wel as many different events in Belgium like Therapy Sessions,Stealth Bombers,Steam XL, Dedkob cd release, Xprmntl, Mekitburn (www.mekitburn.be), Wasted, Boups NYE and venues such as Hof Ter Loo, Silo, M.O.D.,Decadance, Minus 1, Structure Beton,... and it keeps on growing bigger and stronger.
When it comes to what style I spin pretty much anything with the right vibe, ranging from old skoolio rave stuff, through jungle to drumnbass, seasoned with some scratching and big dick tricks¦I'm not so much into the whole labeling of subgenres, if the tune sounds right it just has to be played!!! But words are just words, so check it out for yourself at one of the parties Ez!!

Sicko: Sicko got in touch with the sound of Drum 'n' Bass about 6 years ago when he heard Goldie play in a packed Vooruit! He soon started collecting various drum'n'bass tracks and realised that he preferred the liquid or called it funky / mellow side of Drum 'n' Bass. Funky sweet labels like Renegade Recordings , Defunked , Hospital , Soul:r definitely cought his attention ! Later on he developped his style and skills and worked more towards his one and only motive " trying to deliver what the crowd wants "! Which eventually came down to the fact that he's not sticking to one subgenre within Drum 'n' Bass. Just blending his favourite tunes old & new together. Kenshee: With a growing passion for music since he was little, kenshee travelled from rock to reggae, from hiphop to house to end up in the world of drum&bass.After buying his first decks & mixer at the age of 18 he started to rinse the heavy dnb sound and you could find him at d&b parties every weekend, this is were he ran into sicko and after some talks and beers, they created the concept called payback. More & more liquid ended up in the bag and it was love at first hearing you can say, so his bag is filled with labels such as hospital, soul:r, signature, defunked, renegade recordings etc. but somewhere deep in the bag there's still place for his older renegade hardware, virus etc stuff, so expect the unexpected from this guy! Nowadays together with sicko(payback crew) he's still travelling through the beautifull world of drum&bass with a future that shows this passion will never die.
After several editions they are proud to have had the following artists behind the decks ; Commix (uk), Lomax (uk), Wildchild (uk), Peyo (fr), Martyn (nl), Lenzman & Dan Stezo (nl) , Ace & S-Capade (de), Chillum & El-Maria (nl), Jakuza (nl), Big Head (usa), Rudy Rocket, Millenium kru, Dobe & Daze, Krewzader, Madlock, Eskey & Sallow, Flex, ... and many more.

This duo didn’t discover drum&bass side by side. Atmospherix discovered the hip hop vibes way before dnb. 2 years ago he went to a party based in Sint-Niklaas, called Exhale. He felt totally in love with that energetic music so he started digging further in this genre. Browsing the web and crashing the parties he found his vibe in the very funky, soulful productions from Mutt, Autumn, Calibre, Redeyes, … It didn't take long to buy a dj setup to start spinning! Also keep an eye on Atmo's productions!
Plastik discovered the scene a few years earlier. At the age of 16 he went to his first drum & bass parties, like 10 Days Off, Starwarz, Exhale, … He bought all the new releases on Renegade Hardware, Breakbeat Kaos, Ram, ... . Starting to go to parties like Steam and meeting some other drum&bass dj’s made him see that the musical aspect is very important. It was inevitable to start spinning liquid and minimal tunes, so he started buying all the work from Alix Perez, Icicle, Marcus Intalex, Break, ...
A year ago they’ve met and had the idea to start the Future Soul Kru. A couple of other dj’s from Sint-Niklaas and Temse joined the crew, likewise our mc Spliff. In October the crew threw their first Future Soul party at the Frontline in Ghent, which was a great success, so watch out for more!!!
