dont u get annoyed with the ammount of vips that are getting released now, its like every tune that gets released has to be vip'd straight away. why dont the spends there time bringing out something fresh, i think the novilty of a vip has gone, its been over done

I WAS THINKING THIS THE OTHER DAY.
its like they cant be arsed doing summat that all of us would love to be doing....... MAKING TRACKS! PRO STYLE!
in my opinion some vips are cool if the track warrents one but most of the tracks that get the vip treatment have been out for 6 months at the absolute max. not a strong look to be drowned out by a track that has had 1 beat edit and a couple of bass riff key changes since the orignal track.

its easy money for them, its not like they have to do a whole new track, its a few slight changes and a new release and more money in the wallet.

If it's shit, it won't be sold and it will stop again.
Techno is far worse on this point. Remixes often sound totally different from the original, it's normal to release 4-5 remixes of any track, no matter how good or bad the track is.
Remixes don't bring in money for the remixers though, but you can make your name bigger if you do a good remix of a popular track which makes your tracks more popular, that's why they are doing it.

really? i would have thought that the remixers would have got money for it. you learn summit new everyday!! |
A remix is a favour, you return the favour sooner or later. That's why mostly famous people get remixed by famous people
