yes and no
yes 95-99 was tha kinda golden era of dnb but as a genre
its had to move on or it would of got stale and died years ago
yes sometimes there is a lil to much emphasis on that polished sound but
thats just the way it is
personally i like a dirty ruff kinda sound like tha old edrush/dillinja sound
but thats just my prefference
new equipment has helped for a cleaner vibe but yah can still dirty it up an give it the funk!!!
check out jemone/djvapour/commix/bailey
thats the old sound just up to date man
got soul
got funk
got feelin
my two pence!!!

It's weird...I love all the old renegade hardware shit...now im gettin a bit bored.
I started my dnb trek on the likes of teebee, his legacy album.... It got me off basically. Now his new album with calyx is praised a lot more, but i have not rushed out to buy it.
I want usual supsects and konflict back!! those days are over, simple basslines, simple beats, but not simple at all...works of art!!! not money makin stuff like ive seen recently........ *ahem* pendulum calyx teebee spor =/
__ I'll edit ya face to sit tight there in the mix
