EZ Additive

Intro is ok, stereo panning of the hats is a bit too much especially on headphones.

Piano programming is good n works well with the beat. Piano melody in parts works really well.

It just all feels a bit clean and the choice of sounds used could have been a bit more adventurous.

It sounds like youve just picked the most basic gm piano strings bass sounds available.

Good programming, poor instrument choices

Peace

BH

Well constructed clean track man. When I hear this I can imagine it being played on a holiday programme (not a criticism) to a warm sun set in the med. It's got a chilled, late evening feel, if ya get me drift. Piano's are sounding excellent to me. Really crisp and clean. The melodies as a whole are really good in fact. The only thing I reckon needs changing is the beats - especially the snare. It needs a more LTJ Buken kinda sound. There's too much 'clap' on it for me. Otherwise, a nice solid track for the kinda style you're playing.

im going to try some other snares in there, but i really did want something quite tight and snappy... i know what you mean tho. I'll probably compromise that.

Not bad, but the piano parts in the intro and outro stop so sudden, mess around with them so it doesn't stop like it does now. Track needs a couple of extra elements and some FX automation to make the piano less repetitive and dominant. Bass needs more upfrontness in the mix, it sounds like a now, there's lots of sub and lots of high mids, but no low mids, EQ this if possible, otherwise you might layer in another bass sound to fill the hole. Track has potential.

To make the piano stuff more "your own" you could load a piano melody into a slicer and make variations to the existing melodies.

fyi, the piano work is all my own. all of this track's programming/performance is original and mine.

I really like this track. I've been trying to compose some piano/string melodies lately and this destroys my efforts Smile

I agree that the intro ends a bit abruptly. To be honest I think the track would work well solely as an ambient piano feature, with less emphasis on the bass switchup. Damn those melodies are fantastic.

I don't really like the percussion in the very beginning, it reminds me of a Native American rain stick... I think it's a bit cheesy and pushes the piece towards smooth jazz. This track is above smooth jazz Smile

Sweet job man!
