short sustain? attack set <1ms,decay turned all the way up,sustain all the way up and release <1ms.the sine part yes,but he can controll how long the note holds with the piano roll.the sustain makes it rip and put out like a trailer park whore out of crack
try using vsts like albino or blue (i prefer blue),terratec komplexor,fm8 and maybe a simple sine wave in a sampler.depends really on what you want

you don't entirly understand the defanition of sustain but he's right, no decay, fast attack usually, and tube distortion do wonders, you don't want tit to be too distorted it'll tunr the nice smooth round sine to a hard square, you just want a little bit of dist, just to give it distinction.

you can also use 808 kicks, and omg with a the proper compression these babies give you the jungle feel.

The synth that i use is massive so if anyone can give me a few tips on how to make this on massive that would be great.

I have a load of samples for this desired bass from a sample CD "Jungle warfare". It referes to the bass as 808 Bass (i guess this has something to do with 808 kick and the Roland TR-808 ) but i want to know how to make this or myself.

Thanks guys. |
