Why don't we make a cd (compilation) with a, say, given set of sounds... but like the beatbattle..
I mean, this should be a project where songs pass by in one-another... if you know what I mean. They do not stop. We all reserve a place on the cd, (say there will be 20 songs), we limit the time of the tunes (to, say, 3 mins), and we begin!
The first author begins by making the begining of the cd (track 1).. he makes the track, but remains it with no build-down, just to pass by in the second...
Then the second author (assigned by some coordinator which we'll assign) downloads the tune, downloads the sounds which will be provided by the first author (if they are not in the "download" page) and will continue... and that will be to the end...
This might look as a big project, but it is worth the troubles, if u ask me! :-)
Tell me what you think!

Yes, I know that the release will be the trouble maker...
At least, can we contact some releasing music houses, so that we get a chance to release the cd, if they like it...?
This should be fun!
So, when can we start? Is anyone else for the idea?

this is impossible man, u all have to use the same sequencer to keep that going in the same file, always sending on the samples (which will be a fuckin shitload by the time the 10th is up ....)
...
very very nice idea, but i'm not really enthousiastic on putting effort in this myself cause for now i still think of it as quite a veryveryveryhardtodealwith-process
convince me otherwise ...

I think if you perhaps decide on everybody using the same program then it might work.
Mixing it will be a bitch though...

Ok, so we know that most of us use FruityLoops, right...? That might help alot, cause we can adjust the tunes...
But, mixing will not be necessary!! Why? Well, let's review the second artists:
He downloads the tune (.mp3) from the first, and reviews it... he has the sounds provided by the first author, and some comments of the author (pitching, speed, echo, delay, reeverb...) which shows how his (1st) track was made...
so he just makes a continual on the first...!
The success of the second track (the continual) is determined by the skill of the second author, and not by the program or the samples!

I use Buzz, don't like FL
Anyway, If you just give everyone the samples n shit, and you clearly state what BPM you will be working at, everyone can make his track on his own machine, with his own tools...

This is a stupid idea because:
1. It's practically impossible
2. Almost none of the producers on this board are already good enough to be released (including me, don't get me wrong
)
3. This will sound horrible ...

1. It is possible, only the will is in consideration here
2. Maybe. So WHAT?! We will release this CD as Independant Artists, and the quality is of no big importance here... only to be seen the uncommercialistic manner of the label!
3. Hehe.... thought the same... but what CD is full-bright, if you know what I mean? Every album and cd has its' bad and good parts... of course, not every track will be piece of shit on this release, right?
Think about..
