wayhay! nice one jim! all feedback is good feedback!
i have been over-complicating my music recently so
we are just throwing together a quick album of simple, funky jump up tracks. its quite refreshing in fact.
once its finished we will be going back to spend more time on the tunes if they warrant it.
BTW... those myspace versions are at 128kbps so the quality is not high as the master copies.

EZ Guys
Bit of a late review
Bin totally fuckin mental last couple a days
Anyway
SugarLumps I like. Nice old skool soundz
@7g is that vocal in one of yer other tunes too? swear I heard it somewere else??
Like it when the wobble drops. quite a groove goin on, had me head noddin.
Backflip i just didnt really get. I think its the stopstartyness of the beats that did it for me coz on further listens I don't hear a problem wiv the other sounds
In short Sugarlumps funk / Backflip not funk.
Peace

Ok ladies, about your new tunes...
SUGARLUMPS
Hmm, I gotta disagree with the Jimbo General on that. I actually thought that the track got really interesting post-drop!! Definitely got me head bobbing. And I love the way you incorporate that infectious melody back into the track towards the end. You've got a high pitch synthline in there which is very Obitial-esqe. Nice, but somehow I don't think it's the right sound for a track like this. It's too ravey for me. The meldoy is great tho, but I'd give it a more muted, jazzy feel with more reverb. Nice beats, could be a bit dirtier tho. FL's Squeeze is always good for giving beats a crunchier, filthy sound.
On my second listen here... still feeling this baby. Nice one fellas.
BACKFLIP
That loud synth at the start definitely reminds me of Doc Scott's Ghostface Killer tune!! Know the one I'm on about? Yeah, this tune is definitely not quite there yet. Like BH said, too much stop-starting going on. It doesn't really give the listener a chance to really get into it. Also, the 3xosc sounds too loud for me and you don't do enough with the sound - it's pretty standard. Needs a bit of Flanger or Chorus I reckon, or something like that. I do like the melodies in this track tho. Definitely got a nice feel to it, the whole thing is just not geling yet tho. Wouldn't take a lot to put it right I reckon - perhaps just extending the bangin bits, cutting out some of the stops and starts, and maybe adding an extra background-synth line to gel some of the parts together.
