i know this is drumnbass.be but there seems to be a lot of
interest in the 'related styles' section, so i was wondering
about starting a thread to show interest and sign a petition to prove it.
hopefully thechronic, the top, top dude that he is (<me buttkissing), will put
a related styles tunes section on the site so we can upload directly and
play our music through the sites player rather than from external sources.
especially file sharing sites!
related styles seem to invigour drum & bass rather take away from it imo.
also, the fresh injection of inspiration, new techniques and ideas can
only help our productions.
show your support, leave a reply!!!

why not just upload it to the same place as eveyone else and then just state what style it is in the thread. put a link in the related styles section. just a thought, saves p the time of changing the site round. would be good but i dont see whats wrong with throwing it all in together.
perhaps this bit from the upload page ios all that needs to be changed
"# Only drum and bass tracks are allowed. Related styles such as jungle, techstep, darkstep etc are ofcourse allowed, but this is a dnb only site and tracks that don't belong here will be promptly removed."

I think it would be a good idea, but not if the related styles tracks are in the main page player.
They should be seperate.

i dont see any problem myself.
it would keep dedicated members on the site when they want to try something new.
i notice a lot of former favourites on thew site have vanished.

I'm ok with opening up the site to other types of music. I have given it some thought already about how to do it. I think it's best to let the producer choose between dnb and 'other style' when uploading, and put the 'other' tracks in a subforum. These tracks will never be put in the main player and top tracks list.
I guess that many of the people here also make other styles, I guess it's only natural to let everybody upload all music they make here
