just wondered whats the deal with royalties, legalities of remixes, obviously if you was to release a remix then you would have to gain permission, give the original artist a commison etc, but say if you was to put one on your myspace, would you have to gain permission? cheers

put it on your myspace and dont worry about it.

legally to release a remix you need permission, but at the same time just look at the bootleg scene. Although there is still a certain amount of etiquette involved, for instance remixing another dnb track and bootlegging it would not be a good look imo.

yeh thats what i would probably do, just put it up tbh, not that i have got one to out up atm, i was just curious really. i dont personaly think theres nothing wrong with putting it on myspace aslong as you let dont let people download it
