Please check out my new track 'Negligence' and post your comments here!!!
This track is pretty much finished, but i still dont feel its got the complete right feel to it, just wanna see if it appeals to dnb heads.. because its kinda going away from the awesomeness of the dnb style to a bit more melody and stuff.. please review on the production quality and the content would be great
.. feedback is well appreciated

what attacked me was the snare, which I think is too loud and too, uhm, big? too metallic? I don't know how to say it, I think you know what I'm talking about.
The rest is very nice, can't find any other things than that snare.. In the main its hard to hear the rest of the break =D lol gotta tune that one snare imo. nice spacey vibez.
also the ghost at the end sound a bit strange to me, but that could be because of my personal taste, so if you like em, don't care =D

dont think its too far away from dnb style i mean there no one dnb style anyway theres loads u cud speed it up a little but i dunno if the track wud suffer
n e way the build was great 2 b honest i was a little disapionted with the drop cos i was expect sumfin a bit better really cos everythin up till that piont was hot
i think its the strings cloudin the hi end bass
i think the track wud roll with a big squareish low boom boom type bass (cant think of an example) mixed up wiv wat u got right now.
snare=maybey alittle reverb and layered wiv a quieter lower pitched snare
melodys = good
bass sound=v good
bass melody =good but dont stand out mutch underneath the strings

Hey Invent,
I Like most of this a lot. Pads are cool, lfo bass is good. Think the beats let it down, the snare feels extremely washy. Don't know what effects are on it but imo a crisper more mono snare would work better here. The other drums sound ok but difficult to tell with that snare in there.
Rest of production sounds pretty good.
Nice One

mix sounds muddy. snare needs more mids/lows, less reverb/width. beat needs more rolling/eqing. try giving your elements more room by cutting certain frequencies. master sounds overcompressed as well.
nice sounds and ideas on this one, mix needs to be sorted out though

yeah i like the melody
however after working on it all weekend i got to a point where watever mixing i was doing was destructive because my ears got kinda tired haha. so im just gonna leave it a few days and then get back at it.. then i will take the advice which i gotta say Geezzz that boomy might just work under it... but ill EQ the pads first to make room for the bass... because its drum and bass for a reason
thanks for the reviews... the snare too dirty with reverb and volume it will be fixed.

Nice and loud, bright in the mix.
Good wide seperation, good Reece!
Around 1:40 the ducking pad / string doesn't feel right to me though. Too loud? Kinda get in the way.
Needs a bit more of a change on the lead later on I think but overall well put together.

sounds very trancey in the breakdown,
i like the melodies here
the snare is not punchy enough kinda just sounds like a clap with fx.
the ideas are good in this track but the beat needs a little work.
reminds me of something along the lines of Klute.
the low mids need a bit of clearing up as well in places to stop the muddiness in that area.
nice vibes tho bruv.
keep at it!!

The melodies are excellent but like the others are saying, the mix needs quite a bit of work. Some of the synths are too far back, the snare too upfront, too much reverb, etc.
I don't have a problem with this being not-dnb-enough. Dnb has always taken influences from different styles of music. As long as the beats are there, then you'll probably get away with it... which this track does. I like it, nice tune!
