Please check out my new track 'The Hunger' and post your comments here!!!
This track was inspired by a piece i made for my GCSE composition but that never got used, i used some phrases and kinda remixed it.
Made in reason...
...sorry if there are any wrong notes in the synths i had to play them in myself or it would of taken hours of writing little bars on sheets...
Any (praise/pointers/critisicm/ramblings, delete as appropriate....) are all considered useful and thanked muchly.
the name is inspired by what im feeling right now time for a sandwich me thinks!
Cheers

Hey...nice work with the strings although they sound too artifical. Brings nice hiphop feeling. The bass is nice a bit too much stereo effect in it, or it could be too much chorus or reverb, dunno. The break is too tiny, the kick lacks the puff imo. And the snare to be brought more forward. Nice background melodies going on. He, it must have been fun dude. I like that little string going crazy at around 3:00 -> end. Nice track, original for shure. Dont hear this stuff here too often. cheers

wow this is really cool melody man, just think its pretty weird for in a drum 'n bass track...maybe if you'd use some cooler synths it'll work, try that out.
beats are nice, reece could be more agressive.
the 2 step beat you add at 1:30 should be removed, doesnt add anything imo.
reece melody is cool.
cool ideas, try workin on your techniques some more, definetly something cool will roll out.
rinse it out propa!

Yeah, pretty cool weird vibe on this. I haven't heard much dnb like this before. The overall sound quality is pretty poor tho ... everything really needs boosting. Melodies are working well together. Defo got me head bobbing to this one. Great breaks! Good bassline.
Not much else to add really other than to work on boosting the sound quality.

reminds me of old sega or arcade games like
golden axe, altered beast and columns.
maybe before your time.
the synth melodies sounds very eastern european,
maybe greek or macedonian. maybe.
lovely ideas and very original sounds.
this sounds a bit like b-complex in some ways.
a sick producer that used to post on this site
(search his name on the music page).
i am a bit jealous of your youth and talent.
enoyed listening to this.
tips.....
work the reece. make it dirtier.
watch out for the low end frequency on the bass, it seems to hit a touch too heavy.
try not to over-compress the beats so much,
it sounds like they are.
nice nice.

Short one, while working...
As a tune this works well, frequency wise you got things going, drums are good, I love your rides which are my weak spot. Classical Music -sounding synth solos around 2:00 mark are a brave effort, those are not pulled off 100% but theyre interesting.
Nags, sub bass too loud, sligthly too boomy around 250Hz or so. If you lower the bass a little, re-listen all other elements too to see if there are things to fix. Mastering is lacking too, youre much more silent than others.
In general, OK effort with good idea, slight nags on production but listenable, good tune. Keep UP!
