Hi people,
This is my first track to be uploaded to dnb.be so hope you like! This is just something ive been working on this week but im pretty happy with how i got my drums sounding, they took a lot of work. But its only a short preview anyways.
Just a little about myself though, (seeing as this is the first tune ive posted) - Im 17 and studying music tech at college, all i do is make DnB so hope you guys enjoy the beatz.

the sound of the drums is ok, cool pitching. amen is playing its default loop tho, try and get the sequence more interesting
dont apply strong reverbs onto all drums
bass is way louder than the drums
keep at it

Im studying at Richmond college in SW London. I got much better facilities at home though, but the music tech course was a kick in the right direction - wouldnt be making the beats im making without it.
Yeah, i know the Amen break has been RINSED, but i still rate it. I thought id mashed it up quite a bit though, i used some bate patterns but it only playes its original beat once in the middle.
I have a question though: What do you guys think of the overall EQ of the preview? My speakers are a bit fucked (gonna get some new ones soon) so i cant really tell if i need more bass or more treble. I keep burning my tracks to CD and then playing em on my hifi, but that still isnt too effective. Need some feedback from some better soundsystems.
Thanks for the feedback anyways guys, keep it coming!!! Ill hopefully have a more full version of this coming up soon so stay tuned.

Sounds really good, apart from there being a tad too much reverb in the mix. I'm a big fan of the Amen break so it doesn't bother me to hear it again!
But try and do something different with it... although again, the amen has been sliced, diced and mashed in every way imaginable.
I like the basslines. A nice grimey sound with fat wobble. But they repeat themselves after a while so in the full-length version of the track you'd need to edit and change them at some stage.
Cool FX. Good use of reverb there.
Nice opening tune Neb.

Really classic ingredients... works for me.
The drums are well done, typical amen style, but they are not boring.
There's a bit too much bass all over for my taste. The drums should get more highend. Otherwise this is nice... Make a whole-length track from it.
Welcome on board dude. Give us some more!

Im a bit stuck on this one, i dont really know where to go with this tune. I feel that most of the stuff i try to do with it doesnt stay true to the theme.
How do you guys expand from some drums and bass and keep true to the theme?
Thanks
