You can connect them so you can use them to parallel process your VSTi's n stuff... if you have LAN, or faster WAN or whatever.

Here, read these:

bingo man thanks. you know that's what i wanted Big Grin

looks like the technology is from 2002/2003 and should be bug tested. i'll grab a bunch, and probably overclock them, get a few liquid cooling kits. , i might give away one of teh prcoessors, if i get enough of them. one of them i am going to just steal the monitor off of, so that'll be possible. but then i'll look like a major nerd/haxor. i mean h4x0r

You can do a cluster with em. I mean not only for production, for whatever you want really. You'll need a cluster OS tho

You can FX Teleport them, so your secondary computers works as a extra CPU power to your plugins. Audio and midi is transferred via 100Mb network cable.

Tried the demo with 2 computers, worked, but not reliably and easy enough for me to actually use it into anything serious.

Steinberg has similar product, but now you need sound cards.

You sure? Google keyword "Average power consumption computer" gave me interesting reading:

http://www.techreviewer.com/viewpage.cfm/ui/040226130555
http://www.uofaweb.ualberta.ca/facilitie...731&nav01=26714
http://www.journeysystems.com/?powercalc

Also please note, that peak consumption may be 400w or more, I have personally solved one troublesome pc (constant crashes, clicks and pops) by buying a 450w power supply to it.

According to this calculator, my systems minimum power supply would be 375W (but that's peak, not average)

375W is roughly 3 amp. 15 amp circuits. that's not so bad. bit more than your tv probably. to figure out amps just convert 100 watts = 1amp. it's not exact, but 100watts equals more than 1 amp, so as long as that always works out you won't over load the system. i doubt you'll understand this but it's a rule of thumb i use for set-up of lights and equipment. one stage spot light can equal 3 amps easy. a small one.
