This is my problem, I have writtena bass line ( I use reason ) but i cant for the life of me make a decent bass sound, Im after a wobbly bass a bit like the one on dubplate stlye or the one on represents ( remix ). Is reason good enough to produce these sounds if so how.
Cheers peeps.

i think you can make half decent sounds in reason, its all about learning the synths. i dont use reason n e more but id recommend learning a bit about synths... basicly what the controls do. once you choose a waveform and shape it a bit the rest is down to knowing how to make it "wobble" (LFO), and learning how to Envelope the sound to your tastes.... Ive become comfy with a lot of synths now and find it easy to produce a sound that I am thinking of, but there is a lot to making proffesional synth sounds, and (especially in reason imo) you will also need to layer, and to get that right takes a bit of experience... Ill usually end up with 3 layers of a sound. Make a nice full sound, low pass it, copy the synth setting to another one, high pass it a bit and possibly suttly alter the sound, get another one and high pass it even further, alter a little, and possibly more layers... then bring them together on a channel and add compression eq etc if needed.

reason has a couple of very good synths.
i dont use reason but i have in the past.
on subtractor (i think)....
just choose a nice square wave and mess with the filter envelope...
attack, and decay mostly (there is much more to it than that but that is the most, most basic way of saying it).
you should pick it up pretty soon.
just keep on it.
