to quantize your beats/breaks means to put them in excact time of the bars.
to do this..

load a break into the slicer...

go into the piano roll...

go to the small toolbar that has the draw, paint etc...

press the icon with the vertical piano keys symbol..

that opens the sub-menu, then go to tools...

opens another sub-menu, you then press "quick quantize",
et voila, your break should be perfectly in time.

you can also manually quantize the beats yourself by pressing
"quantize", just under "quick quantize".

In digital music processing technology, quantization is the process of aligning a set of musical notes to a precise setting. This results in notes being set on beats and on exact fractions of beats.
