loop it?

i used loops instead of a click track when i laid down some drum tracks.

loops help me get ideas down.

chop it up use part of it for a completely new idea.

yeah loop it, but isnt that just a bit cheap??? would you seriously use an unchanged loop from a sample cd? i dunno maybe some do... I was thinking re-arrange it but still... i just dont get it..

drum loops can be hidden amongst others, but a bass lOOP?

Actually this is a very good question....

Using an unchanged bass loop from a sample CD is about as lame as you can get unless you really want people to recognise it or change the pitch so it is a truely new element. Otherwise you can slice it and fool around with it.
Load the bassloop into the beatslicer and play with it like you do with the parts of a break. That way you can play cool basslines that don't sound totally sample based because you have several hits from it. Messing around with the parts can be very inspiring too.

as I'm still a newb experimting with things, I usually get freaky with em in the instrument settings, then get tired of having fun but going nowhere wit em. :p
