Bit of a newb question:

I have bought a few sample CDs that have some really nice, single bass hits (I guess this is standard with most DnB sample packs). But i was wondering if there was some software that will allow me to sample these hits, but also pitch shift them accordingly.

E.G. theres a bass hit in G. I could put this in the program and it will pitch shift this hit and assign it to the other keys so that i can play a whole melody with this single bass hit.

I do have Battery 3 so i suppose i could seperately pitch shift this one sample like 15 times then assign them to the correct keys on my keyboard, but i was just wondering if there was any software specifically designed for this?

Lazy, yes....

I'm asking because FL studio has a native plugin that can resample a sound to like 2 octaves. I´m sure the built in sampler from Cubase can do the job too.
Consult manual or google or wait for some of our Cubase users to help you out then. The choice is yours Happy

resampling a bass is not a very good idea imo. most of the time it either looses its power or the sizzle.

suggest you get yourself some soundfonts, which are practically prerecorded notes and each one is assigned to a key.
