Not bad for a first one.

Try to correct the levels of the different elements, the drums are rather silent, other elements are way too loud.
Try working on EQing, the padz in the beginning should be lowered on the high end (and completely cut the low end). Track suffers from muddyness, avoid excessive use of reverb. Last 30% of the file seems to be silent ???

thx for your reply, yeah still some work to do. What exactly do you mean with the pads in the beginning, should i mix a fade out effect on the part before hitting the drums? Or do you mean mess around with the malstrom settings?
30% of file is silent because the song isnt finished yet. (srry for the bad quality of the song) i saved it as "save song as wav" in reason, and putted everything on the lowest setting. Cause otherwise i wouldnt be able to upload it, or how do you guys make your sounds great quality and still rather small in size?

Ill work on you pointers, and upload the track if i make any progress.

Cheers

Yeah, pretty good tune. Those beats are really funky - excellent!!! However, I think you need to put some work into the basslines and melodies. Indeed, there aren't any at the mo. A good way to start is to try and copy, sorry emulate, some tracks and tunes you really like.

That synth line which comes in about a third of the way through is astromonically loud!! It scared the shite out of me when I first heard it with my loud headphones!!

Cos we (have to) use MP3 files, which are usually much smaller than WAV files because they (WAV files) are uncompressed. As long as the MP3 file is set at over 128kbps it should fine.

Thx for reply, yeah i know the bassline is way too loud, i fixed that one already, but im thinking bout trowing that one away and saving it for another song or something. Ill be posting a new version somewhere this week.

im wondering how you can make mp3 files with reason, and if you can't. What software do you use to convert wav to mp3.

logic tells me that it cant be too disimilar to fruity's way of doing it.....

where it says save as type....
in the pop up window
just activate the the sub-menu (click the small arrow to the right)
and there you should have your choice to save as
mp3 wav midi etc....
then just choose mp3.

if it different in reason, then i dont know.
