Please check out my new track 'Voyager' and post your comments here!!!
I guess if I were ever to write a rolling 4 minute pop'ish Dnb song that could have vocals...This would be it. No vocals here yet, does have some guitar picking (which upon further listening reminds me of "No Scrubs" by TLC...LOL) But it does have some nasty bass growls!?!

not bad at all mate.
it does need that vocal you were talking about tho.
also, the distorty synth is a bit too distorty for me.
one more thing...
i've noticed you have been reviewing really old tunes from 4 years ago.
most of those producers dont even visit the site anymore.
i'd stop that and concentrate on the newest tracks, as they are the ones that need the feedback.
anyways, pretty tight beats you have there, could do with a bit more
variation on the 8/16/32 breaks etc.
peace

(... Between me and you Schmidi, I actually like "No Scrubs" by TLC. Shhh, don't tell anyone. I liked it when it came out and I still like it now. Don't know why, I normally hate shite like that but I find it irresistably catchy for some reason. But hey, keep quiet about that. One of my little musical secrets that I don't feel proud about ...
)
Anyways, about your track. Yes, definitely catchy! Very unoffensive - could almost imagine it on BBC Radio 2... almost. It's a bit too Ibiza-sounding for me, but I still like it. The beats aren't quite there tho. They sound a bit flat to me and too far into the background. The snare doesn't really inspire me, needs another snare or two on top to beef it out and give it a fatter, fuller sound.
The Amen break is a little loud, imo, but good.
Love the basses - lovely textures there and they're rollin with the beat really well. Like the guitar too. Gives it a chilled, late summer vibe. The ending is really good, if a tad too long.
Overall, a pleasant tune. Nice one Sch!

easy now, yeh the distortion ting is a little too much - u could try eqin the distortion out a bit - i usually do that if a distort somink but still want it to sound distorted. or what u could do is to add a filter - that works good to make growl noises if u automate it with every note. anyways the tunes got a cool vibe - the melodies are good, the guitars add a little extra somink. with vocals this would set it off. yeh at the end of the patterns u hav a different drum it sounds like. would be good if u could add those drums to the main drums imo. cant wait for the fukk version

not bad dude, I think the drums could be a little louder, more in your face, I think that would suit the bass and synths a lot more. good elements overall, some work on the mix would lift it a heap, keep at it mate, good ideas for sure.

Appreciate the feedback guys! Yeah, my mixdown/mastering skills are not great unfortunately, but, that is what the review system is in place for right!?!
Sorry for the delayed reply, I have been building a new DAW pc!!!!! I'll actually be able to preview my EQ settings in Izotope Ozone instead of just doing it visually by on screen eq's (all I had were clicks and pops the second I turned it on lol).
Cheers, Schmidi.
