Ever thought about the fact that these stinkers are really bad for the environment and for your wallet (12L/100km is normal for them), they break down more often and you are in far greater danger when you get into an accident. |

I would like to go to 0L/100km
This looks like it might do the trick, but I guess it'll be over my budget

I wouldnt be suprised if the come up with the idea of new 'clean' nuclear engines . So controlled that it has no dangerous radiation.
Think about nuclear subs and whatever

give it 20-50 years and your house will be heated, supplied of warm water and electricity by one of those in your basement..and it will probably be under the hood of your car as well.. |

I don't believe in it. They've been saying for 20 years that it's 20 to 50 years away.
Just the same as with hydrogen. The average hydrogen car costs only $1m. And they need 3 times as much energy to make the fuel as you get out of it. Not fuel efficient at all!
No, electric cars are the future if you ask me. The technology already exists and has been in use for 10 years. Too bad no car builder is willing to do it, because they don't make a profit on those cars. They simply don't need maintenance (no oil change, broken parts and stuff).
And did I mention they're nicely efficient? They put 75% of the used energy into motion energy. A combustion engine is only 15% effective. The rest is heat, noise...

I disagree. Don't know where you've read that, but when electrolysis is taking place, you get around 30% hydrogen and 70% oxygen from water. The power required for the process is usually much lower than the power extracted from hydrogen combustion, of course, if paired with Wankel engine (check also Mazda Wankel engine).
Also, during combustion you get clean water which you can take up to the fridge, add some minerals to it, little CO2 and sell it

I didn't read it. I heard it in a documentary about what people will do when oil runs out. A Crude Awakening. Let me just tell you that it's not looking great at all!
