A piano player from a young age, and with a degree in music behind him, he was first introduced to drum & bass by the sounds of LTJ Bukem and John B back in 1997, and from then on he began producing in his bedroom in 2000. As the original member of Hold Tight, with several releases on such labels as Industry, Renegade, Rubiks and Advanced to name a few, Nick has been extremely busy on the production front since 2003, when Hold Tight’s first two tunes, “Dirty Habits” and “9 2 5” were championed by Andy C and licensed for the nightlife compilation. A few years and many tunes down the line, he is now based in Bristol and is very much a part of a lively drum & bass community. He is now involved in various projects and collaborations with artists such as Kubiks, BCee, Xample and Eveson. The last few months have seen Lomax release his first solo tracks and they have been welcomed with arms open wide, to say the least. The Brain Freeze EP on Spearhead is set to be the labels biggest release to date, and Innocent X on Critical is shaping up to be one of the tunes of the year. He is known for playing diverse styles of drum’n bass, from funky to tech, but always dance-able and with a sharp edge. You can find him playing not only at his own nights called Classified at the Waterfront and Major League, but also throughout the country and the rest of Europe as a guest dj. The Elementz crew is responsible for loads of fresh parties in the Rotterdam area. Started in 94 as the legendary elementz nights at a small venue in the city of Rotterdam, but soon expanded to bigger venues. Due to a high demand of parties at that time the elementz crew decided to launch 3 projects. - Major League drum'n bass The mainstream party concept of the elementz crew.
