Please check out my new track 'Direct Injection (finished version)' and post your comments here!!!
I finished this one, thanks to those who checked it out, I took the criticism on board and hope you like the final version. Got a line 6 pod from my girl and could not resist recording some guitars on this one. Took some highs out of the snares and tried to add some more midrange. Hopefully I will be on more than a 56kbps connection soon and I can check all the goodness I have been missing out on, big up to drumbass.be

I love those guitars!! Sounds a little like Paradise Lost. However, some of the timing is slightly off. It needs to be tighter, plus I think they're just slightly too loud. But well done, they're good!
Don't like the kick drum too much. It's too loud and hard sounding for my liking. Which generally goes for the snare as well. But that's just personal preference.
I really, really like the soft pad which kicks in at 0.46!! The note changes are excellent, the sound is spot on and it gives the track a lovely vibe.
The bass drop is working well too. Warms the sound up.
Nice tune Goony!

thanks dude, It took me about 3 hours to get those guitars right due to the fact I havent played in years. I may re record them in a couple months once my chops are back up to speed to try and make it tighter. I am glad you enjoyed. I like the kik snare at the moment, but at this stage I am listening on headphones and have to have a good listen on some descent monitors. But thanks for checkin it mate, big up!

i love the bass on this one, groovy and funky - the drums are sweet too, sound very loud but maybe a tad too loud... hav u got a limiter on it? tbh i dont like the wobbly bass at around 3.20 however i love those guitars man, refreshing sound. this tune has kept my head bopping thru out, not many tunes do that bruv so this means its well good. sort out some of the eq and the mastering a bit more tho. its like 95 percent there atm could be 100 with a couple of tweeks. o yeh by the way that appregiated sound u got sounds like its got too much of a noise generator on it, try changin the sound to somink a little softer on the ears - more ambient cos at times that interferes with the drums at the high end of things. yeh, second time listening and that wobbly bass thing sounds ok but maybe eq the high end off cos i wanna hear the guitars more mate.
anyways a lot of bitching but this really is a fookin great track in my opinion and u would do well to sort it out right.

i'm not so fond of the fast panning on the lead arp.
didnt like the drop (too average).
tune comes into life more at 2.14. i like this part.
bass needs a bit of work tho. its all flat n muffled. turn up the mids and resonance on it.
best thing about this track is the ambience and pad usage. nice synths n stuff.
needs a break or 5 layering in there imo.
i would like to have a bash at remixing this, if you are interested?

if your keen sevengun, your more than welcome to have a bash at remixing this. I know there is not a huge drop in this track but I was after a smoother transition, not as heavy and a little subtle so to speak.Anyways, I work with cubase and reason, so let me know how you would like the tracks and ill send em too ya. Ill hopefully be near a broadband connection this weekend so can send then. Let me know what parts you want "dry" as well. Your input would definitely teach me a thing or 2 about mixing,my weakest point I think. Free reign my friend.
