I use Cubase and I dont want to sound like im braggin, but ive got a nice VST collection, but when I took some to a friend who used Reason they don't work. I Dont know anything about Reason and he's pretty new to it aswell; is it possible to rewire reason with e.g. ableton to use VST's? And how would i go about this.

Reason does NOT support ANY VST or DX plug-ins, at all. they intend reason to be the end all be all, and if you need something, you can Re-Wire reason into a program that can handle VST.

it helps them make a more stable and stream limed program. kinda smart. but yea.

no vst's for reason.

In my opinion ,someone who doesn't know that reason workin only on rewire with vst ,must have a lack of knowledge,nothing personal.

If you just used flstudio with its native plugins it'd be really stable, probably just as stable as reason, because everything is made for it. The only time fl ever crashes on me is when I'm using a vst of some sort, and I'd imagine most other daws are the same too. So, in my opinion, the only smart thing they've done is convincing their users that not having vst support is a good thing..

I know I switched to reaper for a bit because fl kept crashing but I think asio4all was causing that because I updated it and its not crashed since.

Hey,

As folks is tellin you, Reason doesnt support VST in anyway.

Ive got to tell you though that Rewiring Reason to another application works wickedly for me. I use Cubase SX3 n Im sure ableton will work just as well. Totally stable and hugely flexible.
