been working on this one awhile-- a heavy, aggressive amen tune called 'Ni-Oninpo', based on a sample from an un-named hentai anime clip...spent alot of time trying to get the levels and mastering just right (i just got T-RackS 24 and am still learning how to get the most out of it)...peace

180 bpm isn't unheard of...alot of dj sets i've heard are around that tempo---when you hear a track in it's original state and then hear it in a set, most of the time it's played at a higher bpm then it was originally written in...just becuz you don't like a tune that's 180bpms doesn't make it a bad tune---as far as the 10 megs---it's cuz the tune's encoded at 192kbps, cuz the over-all sound quality of mp3 isn't all that great especially at lower endoding rates, and what's the point of posting a tune that has crappy sound quality? (personally, i prefer shorten or monkey's audio, but those lossless type files are much larger than an mp3)...

Nevermind, I've heard your tune, and I like it a lot! Nice drums ;-) cya

hmm , streaming works fine here

sounds great, especially very good drum sound.
I personally prefer songs with great drops every 2 minutes so you get more extreme highs en lows in a song, but of course you can't have a mix with only crazy buildups.
Nice work.

Finally could download it Big Grin

Intro is fine.
Amen is nice crisp.
Bassline is fine too.
Switching between the different breaks sounds a bit uninspired at times, this could be executed a bit better.
The variations in the amen itself could be a bit better too, but not bad.
Amen is a bit too loud imo.

Overall I would say you had a good idear, but the execution could be better. It sounds a bit like you didn't know where you were going while making it, so you just added all kinds of variations and different breakz. So work a bit more on giving everything more meaning, it will work better.

I wish everybody would encode at 192kbps or higher, makes it much easier to judge the quality of a song Wink But I guess for people with a slow connection or with little room left on their HDs it can be quite a pain

what's that rubbish ... Roll Eyes
10megs = a veeeery long tune @ a low bitrate, OR -mostlyWink - a normal tune @ high quality
wtf is the problem with a high bitrate, nothing, yea i thought so ... Big Grin

and 180bpm ...
most dj sets are above that rate
paul b, danny c, johnny l, they all produce their tunes @+- 180 bpm ...

anyway, nice producin business, but don't like the tune, amen has no character, the levelling and eq'ing compared to them other breaks is a bit awkward, nice basses and good (dj-approved Tongue ) intro tho ..

you got the right bricks, now just find the plan for the right castle you can build with them Big Grin
